does anyone know if its allowed to use calculators for the computer based GRE general test? i mean can we take our own scientific/ non scientific calculator with us for the test?
and do they provide scratch paper and pencils etc at the test center or do we have to take our own? do u think they might run out of pencils/paper? this is not improbable at a paki test ctr!!!
do we just walk in with our passport/id and registration info for the GRE and thats it? or do we have to / are allowed take anything else?
what abt water bottle/juice/snacks/chewing gum??? whats the policy on that??
and what if the computer crashes while u r taking the test? what do u do?? can u shout for help etc?? has this happenned before??

p.s. no i’m not taking it this week…i’m taking it in two weeks inshallah if i register that is lol…this is for my friend tho who’s taking it this week and khothi doesnt know anything and is bugging me to find out all this for her…i’ve emailed some ppl too plus the ETC ppl, if i hear from em first i’ll post the answers here…thanks again
–you arent allowed ANYTHING in the computer room , they will provide you with pencils, rubbers and rough sheets to work on..
–your passports and your belongings they will put somewhere and will return when you are finished.
–computer wont crash aur agar ho gaya they will reshculde without recharging you. dont shout, just signal the invigilator who will be sitting nearby and stay calm, not your fault
– dont underestimate paki centers :p, ETc monitors thier progress so they wont run out of pencil papers but if you wanna take yours, you can.
– chewing gum you can chew i think, and plus one extra one.. cant remember though coz iw as too tense to chew anything..
do NOT take calculators.. if your friend has prepared for it, its the first thing that is written on almost ll GRE prep metarials
