Hi I don’t know wether anyone of you will be able to help or not but its worth a try,…I recently got abit of bad news acouple of days ago. Basically my mums diabetic and she also has high blood pressure for the past 3years approx, she started having frequent headaches and her eye isght was getting weaker so she had it tested and a blood report also from her gp. He was concernced so he furthered her for more tests at a hospital, mri scan,in wich they have said that she has a boold clot in her brain which is directly opposte the back of eyes and based inthe middle of head (where nose is) which is affecting the sight etc and they said we need to operate immediately and take that outnif not the bloodclot could get bigger and effect the nerves and loss of eyesight. Now they also said something along the lines of ‘its not cancerous however we cannot say for how long’ basically this is what my fathers told me,I’m curious to know more, does anyone or has anyone known someone who has expereinced the similar problem, did they have surgery and is it truly not cancerous? I’ve asked my father afew times however I feel that he may be hiding some further bad news as I’m currently pregnant,pls if anyone knows more about this pls help to explain this abit more and how dangerous is surgery it will stop me from worryig so much Thanks

Im really sorry to hear about your mother, InshAllah Allah will give her strength and health.
A few years back, one of my friends, her father had the same issue. There was a clot in his brain, and he needed to get surgery. The doctors informed them that it was not cancerous. He had his surgery, which was not a long surgery, and the doctors said it was a normal surgery that is routine for them. AH, her father got through it just fine, and he is very healthy now.
Please dont worry about mother, inshAllah she will be just fine. and we all here at gupshup will keep your mom in our prayers.

when in doubt about cancer it is better to go through preemptive surgery.
doctors suspected cancerous tissues in my fathers mouth and we got it replaced immediately. there is no point taking chances and regretting later on.
you should find comfort in the fact that things got detected in such early stages. from here medical science can do wonders. my uncle wasnt so lucky and he found out about his cancer just two months before his death.
if money is an issue then i suggest you get it done in pakistan or india. india has world class hospitals and worlds best surgeons. most of the doctors are the ones who served in usa for decades and finally came back to home.
