This gora style makeup doesnt usually go with desi outfits (and desi complexions in most cases too).

ff, i agree. i know there are few desi salons in toronto. i am interested in them only.

ask the MAC makeup people... i know they come over to ur place here in OZ and their makeup is generally very good.. even for our desi skin :)

Suroor, I got the phone numbers from the My Bindi (desi) website under the wedding planning section. You should check out the website. They have lots of information there for desi weddings.

I had a girl from a lady named Shirly come for my walima makeup and bridal set up. They did a great job but are expensive...

EVERYONE who's from toronto has heard of her...she's chinese but raised in paksitan and all the other gals who work with her are the same. Is there any other torontonians here who could give you her contact?

sorry..don't have it. My m-i-law set it up and i doubt she kept her number...

ask around..there are some other toronto guppies who've heard of her.

there are SOOOO many threads/posts about makeup artists in the toronto area here on GS....search them..i post Shirly's number in one of the posts....

Shirly Wu is absolutely amazing!
She is more expensive than the others.....but for that special day, isn't it worth it?
