Ok, I was working on my laptop and I had the headset of my cellphone in my hand and by mistake I brought the plug thing close to the USB input thing of the laptop and my laptop went down, I can’t get it started. What should I do? I have unpluged everything and repluged everything but it is not coming back…
Does this means that just the battery has died or something else really went wrong? Does anyone know what could have gone wrong?
and I am posting this message from my desktop, if anyone is curious…
I hate to bring this to you, but you probably ruined your laptop :D If you have waranty bring it back and get it repaired. If not this will cost you I think around 200-300 dollars. The mobo of the laptop needs to be replaced. (probably)
And you didnt bring it close to the usb connection, you plugged it in :p
and it just touched, i never pluged it it...damn....
And that touching is enough. mobo stands for motherboard or mainboard. Its the main component with all the connections and everything on it. You blew some circuits by just 'touching' it :D So yes, you lost it all. If you had important data on the HD you could save it by removing it and hooking it up to a desktop.
well they changed the battery and it came up, but then they decided to replace my laptop and so they can send this one for service and see if there is anything else wrong (i hope not)...so I got a new laptop...hehe... the hard drive was still ok so I didn't lose anything...
gizzy...mobo sounds funny, though i figured it out later...lol
here I am And I m still positive tis the motherboard failing. :o
There is no company in the world that will decide to replace a working laptop to ‘check’ if anything is wrong
So its the mobo’s failing untill proven wrong OR something like that
