i have been visiting this forum since a long time as a guest and have always found it very helpful.
today also i need help from all you ppl.
actually, my sis is getting married in july this year and my eldest sis who live in the US mite not b able to attend the wedding because she is in the process of getting the green card. she has applied for it and so cant come to pakistan.
she said tht thr is a possibility to get some kind of permission letter from the authorities but it takes more than 3 months to get it.
Plz anyone who is familiar with these procedures let me know is thr any way by which she could get the letter within 2 months. plzz guys let me know whtever u know in this regard. i’ll be really grateful.

Safoon: If you talk to the authorities saying it's urgent and that she needs her passport asap. They will send it to her way before 2 months. Here in the UK an application to the Home Office has to be made. She will not get her new passport but they'll send her the old one enabling her to travel using that one. When she gets back then the procedure of retrieving a green card would commence (once she sends the old passport again).

Safoon, which part of green card process she is in. there are 3-4 different stages. Would help if you could be more specific
