Ok, i got my new phone today, sony ericsson t610, and everything works fine. But i’m trying to connect it with my desktop computer but there seems to be no way to do so. I have taken some pictures with that phone and i wanna transfer them over to my computer but the only type of connection that seems possible is bluetooth, which obviously my computer isn’t equipped with. So how DO i go about doing this? Is there a special cable that i could buy for this purpose or anything? I read some reviews prior to buying this and it said that transferring pictures and other data in and out of the phone is pretty easy. I don’t know.

Well the simple way is that If you have activated MMS then send it as Picture Message , When you are asked to Phone No select send it to Email and type your Email address ([email protected]) it will send them to your email address. You can not use this if the MMS is not activivated.
Otherwise just go to shop and buy data cable for that, Its expensive in Europe but in Pakistan it is available for 250 Rs.

you can always buy a bluetooth usb adaptor for the PC.
these are fairly cheap nowadays (i believe even cheaper than data cables) and involve far less hassle.

If you have a laptop you may have in Infrared port (IrDA), you can try using that.

Yea, i tried the MMS method and it worked. Any idea how much a usb adapter might cost in pakistan? I'm going there this summer so i can buy it from there. And would that usb adapter work here in canada aswell?

i have the exact same phone you have and its simple to connect to pc all you need is the software and the usb cable then not only can you send pics but also music and make your own ringtones and send those
also i think mms costs a lot too. i dont know about canada but in us it costs me almost $2.00 to send the pics so might want to be careful of that
