Actually our bodies are like a machine, you pump and they produce. When I started pumping a lot of desi people stated the same thing…even my own mother said I won’t be able to continue for too long since I won’t have that mother to baby connection and won’t produce enough for too long. I was like that’s can’t be possible. I pumped for 7 months, and had enough saved to feed the LO for until he was 1 mA! I produced so much that I had to throw out a lot of it as well.
Anyways, I used the medela in style double pump. Dont even waste your time with a manual pump. I loved the pumping. I could pump and have the milk ready for the baby when he was ready…but hubby or mommy feed the baby as well and I got my sleep too.
