i can read urdu, not really write it. how long would it take to learn how to write urdu ? is it fairly easy to learn? seems a little more tricky than english.

I guess it would depend on how much time you spend practicing and it probably varies from person to person. I think it’s trickier than English because you can’t just throw letters together. It can be difficult to write a new word even if you know how to spell it unless you’ve seen the word (or a very similar word) before.
