i dont like using "aap" for ppl younger then me... but most of our Punjabi family friends say "aap" to thier kids (bcoz 4 some crazy reason they ALL speak in urdu to thier kids!)... i have never understood it... if someone is younger, personally "tum" seems to be the right way to say it
