Yes you can use *Aap *for people younger than you too. I use tum for my friends but use Aap when addressing someone I might not know that much, even if he/she is younger 
Aur saarey aik (1:30) and saarey do (2:30) nahi hota kyoo ke yeh numbers aap le nahi hai. Baaki number twaadey hain, laikin 1 aur 2 nahi

i dont like using "aap" for ppl younger then me... but most of our Punjabi family friends say "aap" to thier kids (bcoz 4 some crazy reason they ALL speak in urdu to thier kids!)... i have never understood it... if someone is younger, personally "tum" seems to be the right way to say it
