Urdu Translation of Sindhi lines

Paging @muqawwee123

I want to know the translation of Sindhi lines of famous song of Shehki and Allan Faqir. Allah Allah kar bhaiya

Re: Urdu Translation of Sindhi lines

The part sung by Shehki in Urdu is the translation of part sung by Allan Faqir.

You can find the lyrics here:

Alan Fakir : “Allah Allah Kar Bhaiya” Lyrics

If you want to go through the context, then its very near to concept popular among Christians (the local ones) ‘maseeh ki bheR’. bheR (lamb) is replaced with buffalo here. Meaning, if a buffalo follows its Shepherd (mehaar), high tides won’t drown it.

Kaaliyan, bhooliyan, etc are kinds of buffaloes based on their color. Kundhi is a buffalo with specific type of round horns (That what I remember how kundhi was explained to me by my Dadi). This kind is famous in Sindh since centuries (the poem is actually written by Shah Latif and translated by Sabir Zafar probably). May be its more common kind found in Indus valley.

Re: Urdu Translation of Sindhi lines

Here you go:

Oooooo O Alla Oo Ho O Alla
Jeki Mehaar Mehaar Kan Ri Adyoon
jo Mehaar (sanbhlne wale / charwahe) ka naam leti rahen

Tin Khe Lahar Lodeendi KiNaKi
unko lehren hila nahin saktin

Huma Huma Pyari Huma Huma O Siyani

(Humma Humma is style of calling buffaloes by shepherd... like hither hither in Shakesear's poem. idhar aao idhar.. or Aishwarya Rai's language aao na aao na. Siyani you know. Siyani is used for convincing the buffalo not to deviate)

Huma Huma Gujararra Ooo Huma Huma Bhil Bhattaari

*(Gujararra oo is some nick.. Bhil Bhittari is barkat wali.. Bhatari / Bhatara is used for herds like they use 'maal' for herds in southern Punjab)
*

Karyoon Kakyoon Aein Kundhyoon Alla

(Kalryoon is black, kakyoon is brown, kundyoon is buffaloes with special kind of horns)

Sik Wara Ji O JeeaN Adyoon
(Sik is longing like udeek in Punjabi. jee'an = Jeeway, Adyon = sisters.... Adiyon is commonly used by Shah Latif, as his main characters are ladies and his poetry is addressed to ladies most of the times. This line means one who have longing for the lover (God) should / will live long)

Tin Khe Lahar Lodeendi KiNaKi
**
(waves can't deviate lovers)**
