Urdu speaking Pashtuns from UP

Re: Urdu speaking Pashtuns from UP

Is it because he had KHAN in his name? This criterion is not true all the time.

One interesting point is that Urdu speaking people whose ancestors were Pashtuns do not consider themselves Pashtun anymore. Rightly so because a lot of them have mixed families now.

On the other hand, there is another group of Urdu speaking people who migrated from India, but still are not completely merged with other Urdu speaking people. Those are called Punjabi Saudagaran.

Mir Khalil ur Rehman, the founder of Jang group belonged to Anjuman e Punjabi Saudagaran e Dehli. He was born in gujranwala but his family moved to Delhi during pre partition times. I think he started Jang while he was in Delhi. When Pakistan came into being, he moved to Karachi.
