That's kinda expensive, a little under $90 for personal and $250 for professional for a word processor. I think not.

you can use urdupad, its online version of notepad, very basic

why not enable windows for right-to-left script from the control panel, and add a font like naskh or nafees, which you can access from MS word, and then use MS word as an urdu word processor? thats the easiest i feel....though as a software, inpage is better

hey i downloaded inpage for free :D... though i only use its most elementary features and don't know if the whole package works the way it is suppose to.
search it up...everything is available out there

how does one learn to type in Urdu? I tried an urdu online keyboard before, but it made no sense for connecting "Yay" or "Hay" at the end of words.

Use urdupad.com to practice. Its quite intutive actually

There iused to be a free version of inpage too, with some basic writing & printing etc. But even that version is enough if you just have to type letters only.
I dont know if I still have it somewhere or not, but I once downloaded it long time ago & used it.

Urdupad writing looks like Arabic. Does it look the same way to you guys too?

I remember using the arabic keyboard once…it was kinda cool.
How does urdupad work? You type in English and it just translates the letter into urdu/arabic?
