What’s the harm in learning another language, especially one with such a rich poetic history?
Now, it is too bad that Punjabi and other South Asian languages are not given the same kind of acclaim that Urdu often is. Maybe we should think about why Urdu is associated with being “superior” and “snobby” and work on acknowledging the beauty of other languages as well, rather than saying, “You’re Punjabi, stick to your own langauge.”
