u have to take lot of nexium before reading these risalas yah-nee suspense digest, jasoosi digest, mqm digest, ji digest, mma digest, sharfu bhai digest, choudhry's digest, gujjar digest, marshal-law digest, shia digest, sunni digest, barelvi digest, hazarwi digest, pir's uthaee geer digest waghaira waghaira.
i used to be a big fan ( in fact still am ) of Ibn e Safi's Imran Series and Jasoosi Duniya
apart from that I read a lot of ibn e insha, Shafiq ur Rehman and Mushtaq Yousfi.
Thats about it - as far my urdu reading history goes :)
And why is the hero always such a jolly, fun-loving, khalandra sa larka!? It makes me sick to my stomach. I suggest you should read magazines like “Sarguzasht”, where all this bakwas is close to none. True stories, edited beautifully, and great to read.
Hero ka naam amoomun, Durr-e-shaharzaad hoga aur heroine, Qurut-ul-ain zaibunisaa. Hero saahab, highly educated, perfect job that has no stress, yateem (saas suser kau shuroo say he maar dalo, raasta saaf) and heroine is the only daughter of a middle class family where the dad has had three heart attacks, mother is diabetic and can die anytime, and there is this khala ka pootter who is engaged to this lass before she was born.
hahaha so true suroor but its always fun reading these novels.... oh by the way i think best novels are written by Umaira Ahmed in these digests, i would definitely suggest, peer-e kamal, la-hasil, meri Zaat zara bey nishaN, Iman, umeed, aur Muhabbat by Umaira Ahmed, Raja Gidh by Bano Qudsiya, and many more.. let me know if you need a list of urdu novels or so! :-)
either the boy and the girl are to fall in love, and are unmarried, or they are already married. if they are already married, they don't speak to each other for a WHOLE year gaps!, because personalities nahin match hotin. the female thinks he is just some stuck-up idiot with money, and the male, who has already been heartbroken, mistrusts the whole female species. one of them is shot, and the other one realizes how much they really mean to them.
if the boy and the girl are unmarried, they are usually cousins. and there is usually some form of a love hexagon. either the phoopo, the khala, or the chachi is the evil character. they all live in together, with the dada/dadi/nana/nani or both sets of grandparents.
and joo know what, you know the mushkil mushkil naam, i swear, some of my nieces/nephews must be named after the hero/heroine.
a typical name found in every risala is afnandi or sumthin liek that.. i always have a hard time pronouncing it as u can probably see.. Oh and the girl always meets the hero in a halka gulabi suit (often with geele baaal) lol…
Oh and the hero usually has Ghani mooche.. (no offence to men with moochen because i know u probably can pull it off..) but its suchhhhhhhhh a turnoff in novels for me.. woh hero wahen se mere liye uncle ban jata hai.. hehe…
Again I apologize to peopel with moochen.. Moochen do suit some people.. N u offended one readin this should soooooooooo know they suit u
lol devi.. i just read an afsana which had a very sad ending :-( they end up marrying some one else instead of each other because hero had some egoistic beef with her mother ( as the hero was from gao ka ameerzada. and mother was bitter rich old lady from city). idiot!
LOL! Yes the hero is always some tall, fair handsome guy with a moustache like Devi said haha! And the girl is either quite nazuk si kitchen sambhalne wali ladki or some tomboy-ish character.
