probably, there is a stage in everyone's life (not just ladies), when they consider getting appreciated / praised more than other things including being loved / cared. We all tend to take positive criticism negatively, though in long term it matters more.

Begum tere husn ke huqqe main aanch nahin

Khushwant Singh translated it as:

(begum there is no fire left in hooqah of your beauty
It is only I who still keeps drawing on it)

Wah kya shair hai :K: Khushwant sahab kee kyaa baat hai.

I am not sure the english of Huqqaa GurguRna. Jub aap ka pait gurguRata hai (because of hunger or badhazmi) then the sound is called rumbling or growling. I dont think that you can use the same for Huqqa sound.

BTW, this shair should not be tried at home. jaan ka khatra ho sakta hai
