That does not guarantee a correct pronounciation to say the least.
Based on which dialect you follow, it could be ‘genderized’ differently…
For me Joke is a masculine thing… as in urdu… Lateefa hotaa hai laikin agar kissi kaa naam naa ho tau :D.. kiouN kaY naam sirf khaatoon kaa hee lateefaa ho saktaa hai, mard becharaY sirf Lateef honaY saY kaam chalaataY haiN :~p
Similarly, for a long time I used to say the word “ChuRya” until I found the correct pronounciation at the last page of “Hamdard NaunehaaL” back in school days:cb:
Degchi is a proper urdu word… Bhagona is a generic for any utensil in which you can cook. Degchi is a particular bhagona which is a small version of “DEG” … Like the small version of LOTA is called “LuTiya” and so on…
next time, you can just shoot me an email than asking people here who can end up asking you the same thing than answering.. talking about redundancy… eh:D?
this is what i do..
whenever i am confused abt a urdu word being 'larkaa' or 'larkii'
i just put it in a sentence and try to figure out what makes more sense..
like..for example..hmm..pen
pen waha pari hai..OR..pen waha para hai..
