What is the mechanism for creating new Urdu words? So when we come across new objects, or new items are created elsewhere. One way is to adopt the name too. But who makes the decision to come up with a name or adopt the name from English or another language?

i’m NOT a teacher but i’ll try to answer.
i dunno about Pakistan but in India there is an Urdu Board called anjuman-e-taraqqii-e-Urdu and my brother is a member of that board.
they have a section in that organization that takes care of the ‘translation of scientific words’. they come up with Urdu equivalent words but they do NOT become popular with the masses because it’s hard to incorporate them in your daily conversations [the listeners mostly do NOT understand]. the English words are more understood.
for example:
Laptop = aaGhosh nashiiN
window = jharokha
email = barqii Daak
message boards = taKhtii_haa-e-paiGhaamaat
screen = seemeeN
how many people will say that?
that’s our problem. we do NOT teach these subjects in Urdu like we were taught science, math in Urdu.

There is no mechanism for making words in any of the worldly languages… this depends upon those people who are present at the time of discovery or invention or creation, got my point, so whatever they name it at first, we all will keep it in our minds for years and years.. to aap ko buhat sare ase naam mile ge jin ki koi sense hi nahi banti, urdu khalis zubaan hai it meas lashkar, you know the meaning of lashkar.. Lascar… a group of well trained men… you may say army as well in otherwords.
so urdu means lashkar.. urdu is derived from persian, hindi, sanskrit & arabic origins. got my point boy…

I know the origins of the word Urdu:lashkar.
What I meant was that while there may be slang words being used it for a word to become part of the official language, there is some review. Eg whether a new word gets included in Oxford English Dictionary. If there are multiple. Words, sometimes one is picked, or more and some can be excluded, there is a process. Does Urdu have a similar process?
