Urdu book recommendations

I’m interested in reading some Urdu novels but I’m not sure what I should read? Do you people know any books that have an interesting and intelligent plot/story and aren’t too difficult to read?

Re: Urdu book recommendations

Raja Gidh by Bano Qudsia ( A beautiful novel with interesting plot and strong characterisation). Also available online.

Re: Urdu book recommendations

Naseem Hijazi Novels are historical novels with good info and interesting.

If you like funny adventurous novels, then Ibne Safi (Asrar Ahmed) Novels.

Patras Bukhari had very humuros short stories.

Go to a store closeby and ask what is available by famous writers like Ibne Insha, Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi, Qiratul Ain Hyder etc.

Re: Urdu book recommendations

I was gonna recommed Naseem Hijazi :k: He wrote some nice novels.
I once read M. A. Rahat novel “kalaa Jadoo” It was a good and different read. I usually don’t read romantic so I cannot recommed anything but Naseem Hijazi’s books and M.A. Rahat book was nice.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. :)

Re: Urdu book recommendations

Have you read 'Udaas Naslen' of Abdullah Hussain. Its such a boring novel and can't understand why they call it No.1 Novel of Urdu keeping 'Aag ka Darya' by Qurat ul Ain Haider and Raja Gidh by Bano Qudsia below that.

I never regret buying a book except 'Udaas Naslen'. Koi muft main bhi den to mat padhna.
