Honeymoon
I am getting married in June. There is a chance we wont go for our honeymoon due to my in laws visiting canada for the shadi.. and we cant leave them and go for honeymoon...
Any input...where you guys went for urs? and if its always like you go right after your wedding..or few months down.

I had the same issue, hubby didnt wanna go coz his parents were in UK from Kuwait just 4 the wedding...he promised 2 go after they left but by that time we were 2 busy with work and cudnt take more time off work..
so after the wedding day we stayed in one of the top suites at a 5 star hotel 4 a week..it was nice 2 spend time away from every1...
u cud go sumwhere locally or just do a big honeymoon after 6 months of marraige?
i live alone with my husband, so im nt 2 fussed over a honeymoon...everyday is like a honeymoon (in the sense, u get 2 spend some quality time 2gether)
i was annoyed initially, but 2 be truthful its nt a big deal..definitely gnna go somewhere 4 our 1st annivarsary inshallah!

You don't necessarily have to go for a honeymoon right after the wedding. I know many couples who went on their honeymoon a few months later. Some didn't go rigth after the wedding because they couldn't get enough time off work, or because of the weather not being ideal, or because they just wanted to save up some money and then go to a really nice place. Again like TabuB mentioned you could just go somewhere local if you'd like, after all you mentioned that you're in Canada (where exactly?) are you close enough to go to Niagra Falls? Also, you could just do the hotel suite for a week like TabuB did............all are great options.

I guess you guys are right...i dunno why we worry about such little things and not be happy for what ever we r getting and thank Allah for it. My fiance is such a nice person and his parents will be coming for only a month. Instead of thinking abt myself i should spend time with his family and be thankful to Allah. thanks for ur input guys..

yeah we went to sakardu for our honey moon.its breathtakingly beautiful..loved every min of my time there..sighar is about an hour's drive from sakardu.. and Sighar Fort is gr8.. worth spending atleast one night ..

^ oh cool turkey will be fun. I went to Istanbul for my honeymoon and we recently went to Barcelona and London. I highly recommend Barcelona as a honeymoon destination unless the couple wants to stay at a resort and be pampered all the time. My friends went to Thailand for their honeymoon and said they loved it. The massages were so cheap they got one everyday and had their own chalet.

For our anniversary trip, we went to Rome which turned out more fun than I expected...

Hiya...i'm getting married in july n we've jus booked to go to the maldives...its called the meeru island resort, we leave 5 days after the wedding...cant wait it looks brillaint...i'm obsessed with constantly checking reviews n photos but it definately looks like a good place for honeymooners!!!!

^^^^from experience i am asking you to not look at so many brochures, pictures on the internet etc etc--then you will have so many expectations. Its better to go there with an open mind:) Honestly, the pictures wont even do justice to the real thing. The color of the water is always brighter and more beautiful in person.
If you wanna do research on the destination--just read, not look at the pixxx
Ive done this with a couple of trips and it takes away from the SURPRISE or WOW element.

erm we're gtin married next yr n cuz im gng to pak 4 the weddin so wnt b ther 4 tht long jus a mnth or 2 wer gna go to dubai for a week or so frm ther few weeks aftr the weddin n thn wen we gt bk to the uk gna inshlah go sumwher else once we cn afford too.
hurd dubai is beautiful....but is it gud 4 honeymoon???
