Re: Ur Fav Movie
I have a different taste in movies and I kinda go for the movies which are unusual but very realistic and close to life. Alternative type movies if you want. So here goes the list:
Blood Diamond
U-Turn
Judgement night
Trespass
Children of Heaven
The beast
Romantic:
Pretty Woman
Sweet November
Remember the titans
The Dark Knight
The Shawshank Redemption
Girl, Interrupted
The Departed
u mean …
Ever since Righteous Kill was announced for production last year, I couldn’t wait to see the end product. Finally we get to see the legends Al Pacino and Robert De Niro share the screen together. The only time I became scared for this movie was when the director was announced. Jon Avnet who brought us the terrible 88 Minuets, is the Producer/Director of Righteous Kill. This movie seemed to be doomed from beginning because of this awful director. But then a little positivity came about when the screenwriter for “Inside Man” was writing the script. All in all, I couldn’t wait for this movie. I’m a huge fan of Pacino and De Niro, and watching them star in a movie together is just an amazing thing.
Well I saw the movie last night at the midnight opening, and I must say that it is good. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either. It was just good, and only good because of Pacino and De Niro. To be honest, if this movie had starred two different actors, it would have been a complete waist of time. As far as the plot goes, its pretty basic and easy to get. The movie tries to trick ya with some twists and turns, but you’ll figure it out half way threw the film. There are times where the dialog is a little dull, but for the most part its alright. The cast does a descent job, everyone except 50 cent! Casting this dumb rapper in the movie was another big mistake, aside from the choice of director. The guy doesn’t even act, he just resights lines. He’s so bad at times that you just wanna laugh.
Despite this films many flaws, the fact of the matter is that Al Pacino and Robert De Niro are acting and playing off each other. To watch these two guys together is a real treat for us fans. If your a fan of these two legends, go see this movie, because you’ll forget about all the dumb stuff once you see them on the screen together…
