Re: ur dream?

My two dreams severely clashed with each others .

Dream 1: To become a religious scholar and a student of Maulana Tariq Jameel.

Dream 2: To make my parents proud by winning Scholar ship abroad for PhD in Engineering .

Dream 2 won but my heart aches and nights filled with tears.

Re: ur dream?

Cant you fulfil your dream 1, after fulfiling dream 2

Re: ur dream?

This is what everyone says, that first stabalize yourself economically than learn religon, but sometimes I get impatient with the thought that I don't know how much life I am left with. May Allah forgive me.

I am thankful to Allah for everything and I am sure there is something better for me in what Allah has planned for me. (InashAllah)

Might be because whatever we get after prayers, pain and patience, we value it more.

Re: ur dream?

OK on a serious note, my dream:

I wish to see a united Pakistani nation (no balochi, punjabi, sindhi, muhajir, pathan etc.)

Generally speaking, Muslim brotherhood for peace all over the world.

Re: ur dream?

First you said "serious note' and then you started joking. Shame on you

Re: ur dream?

Why joke Khan sahib?

Why cant we have a dream like that?

Re: ur dream?

United doesn't have to mean we loose our ethnic identities.

We can be Pashtun or Punjabi and still be united with our fellow Muslim and Paki brethren despite our ethnic differences, it'd be boring if we were all the same, our differences make us more interesting, Pak and the Muslim Ummah at large are like a bouquet of flowers.

In the Holy Koran, Allaah Paak says that it is He Himself who created us into nations and tribes, why would you oppose Allaah Azza Wa Jal's creation?

My mom is Punjabi, we're Pashtun and I absoloutley love Punjabis and Punjab, my fondest childhood memories are of my maternal families village in Punjab.

Ethnicities only become a bad thing when people start getting proud and haughty thinking they're better than others and start forming partianship based on ethnicity rather than Deen (religion, ideology) which is strictly forbidden by our Faith.

A lot of countries in the world are multi-ethnic, so are we. Look at India, every state has its own official language, we could learn a thing or two from them. I don't like the Kemlist/Turkish idea of destroying peoples centuries old ethnic identities and enforcing an alien identity on them.

PS. It's better to use Urdu-Speaking or Karachite instead of Muhajir and Pashtun instead of Pathan.

Re: ur dream?

Ji janab I know what you are saying.

What I meant to say was, that we should be Pakistani first and balochi, punjabi, pathan, sindhi etc. only after that.

Like the Germans are German first, Franken, Hesse etc later.

PS. I agree, Muhajir is not the proper term, My parents migrated from Indian Punjab as well. So I guess every 3rd Pakistani has Muhajir background.
