Upon the First Glance of the Kaaba...

AOA,

I’ve heard by many that the dua made at the very first glance of the Kaaba is always accepted.

Could someone kindly post some evidence to this, I’ve searched a bit but found nothing so far.

Jizak Allah.

Re: Upon the First Glance of the Kaaba...

i don't think so...not necessarily. one should pray that his/her Hajj/Umra is accepted on the first glance or after it's completion...any other du'aa comes after...any du'aa anywhere within the Ka'ba is more likely to be accepted. Masjid-e-Nabawi [saws] is also a place where one should make du'aas.

Re: Upon the First Glance of the Kaaba...

Its one of the myths. And dont know if its true or not. But why not pray eh? Poori bhi ho sakti hai :)

Re: Upon the First Glance of the Kaaba...

^ haram meiN ja ke tou dua hi dua hoti rehti hai, but i feel uncomfortable practising something with intentions based on not-so-solid grounds .

Re: Upon the First Glance of the Kaaba...

^ I dont think there is any harm in it. Like you said, dua tu dua hoti hai :)

Re: Upon the First Glance of the Kaaba…

Peace pinks,

I heard when we face the kaaba first time we should read three time "Allah hu Akbar" and La Ilaha illa’lah".

As far I know there is no direct narration in hadith mentioning that our Prophet Muhammad :saw2: ordered to do such act. But there are some narrations like one from Abdullah bin Zaind that the Prophet :saw2: went toward the Musalla and invoked Almighty Allah for rain. He :saw2: faced the Qibla and wore his cloak inside out, and offered two Rakat". Book ‘Invoking Allah for Rain (Istisqaa)’ of Sahih Bukhari, Hadith No 125.

In the above hadith Prophet Muhammad :saw2: “faced the Qibla and invoked Dua” . Note here Prophet Muhammad :saw2: didn’t told/ordered anyone else to do the same. But those who say that at first glance, dua is accepted then that could be by copying same act of how Prophet :saw2: supplicated dua facing Qibla, so that when any Muslim first time face the Qibla, he/she should ask dua and that will be accepted.

If we read some other hadith narrated in same book of Sahih Bukhari then it is narrated that Prophet :saw2: was addressing friday sermon and He :saw2: invoked dua on someone’s plea but there is no mention of facing the Qibla or ordering anyone else to do the same act (in any case).

Conclusion is that those who say first dua facing Qibla is accepted, I think this is b’coz if one following the ‘Sunnah’ in the same act, then his/her dua will be accepted. One the other hand, there is no direct narration ordering to ask dua in such way. so those who ask prove or don’t accept it, are correct at their end.

I think there is no harm to ask dua but it would be much better if we ask dua after reading first "Allah hu Akbar" and La Ilaha illa’lah" (as we read during the hajj).

Almighty Allah knows best.

Re: Upon the First Glance of the Kaaba...

Duaa ka poora ya na poora hona tu Niyat pe depend karta hai aur is baat pe bhi ke kiya dua maangi ja rahi hai.
If one asks for some worldly thing at the first sight of Kaaba, then more often than not, his/her intention is not pure.

Kafi sari cheezo ke baray mein kaha gya hai ke aisay aisay time pe ki hui duaa qabool ho jati hai. Lekin in sari baaton ke liye niyat ka saaf hona shart hai.

Re: Upon the First Glance of the Kaaba...

Thanks for info lethal buddy. I always wondered about that too. Whenever we went to Makkah..i remember my dad would raise his hands for dua. And i asked him..he said..dua kabool hoti hai. But now i know that there is no solid evidence of such. So better it is we say Allahu Akbar Laillaha Illalla.

Jizak Allah Khair LK for the detailed response... really appreciate it

Re: Upon the First Glance of the Kaaba...

Peace obaid1982,

I agree that intention is also depends in types of supplication but i'll surprise if I heard that a person in 'Haram' seeing ka'aba supplicated something wordly with impure intention. 'Haram' is far away no body will ever do in any Masjid too. btw the topic was about 'kafi sari cheezo ke baray mein jo kaha gya hai woh kis ne kaha or kaha se manqool howa hy.

:)
