There are some songs you just can’t update and mix in with the music that moves with the modern times.

I heard a very bad rendition of some band of I heard it through the grapevine and I could stomach it.

My favourite topic…oh how i seethe when i hear a b@stardised version of a classic song.

Now this is one i came across only the other day…i’m into rock/heavy metal… in fact it’s my music of choice…but this is just wrong:

I know some songs which were redone and while whether they compare to the originals can be debated, they are good to hear regardless.

for example mercy mercy me, the original is awesome, but i have also always liked the robert palmer version, maybe because I am a big fan of both gents.

also liked duran durans take on whitelines, even perfect day.

I like the the original Cure and Journey.

Have heard enough crappy cover bands to be wary of any "updates"
