Im finally considering Maryam khawaja or Ather shehzad senior MUA and maybeeee Sab's :( They are good with pricing but i seriously need to see real bride by their Lahore branch :(

i was considering Maram Abroo for my Valima :-/ Thanks daffy for the detailed review, im confused again :-/...my inlaws budget is the same like 25-30k. who is better for Valima guys? my dress is light blue and beige kind of colour, dont know who"ll play better with tht colour

Why i never mention Mighty in any of the psots is because I guess my in-laws are booking it for Valima, so that's kind of a done thing. I am not worrying about it since I've heard praises of it most of the times and I want to completely leave it at their choice.
And all the girls who got their makeup from Siffat, please would you shre your pics or PM then, cut out what ever you are not comfortable showing, just share so i get the rough idea of base, lipstick and eye shadows.

like all girls i was so confuze for my MUA...finally i came up with RUKAIYA ADAMJEE for wedding (red n green dress). i went to see her real bride plus one of the guppan 'Apple Blossom' got her makeup done in nov. from same MUA and she recomended me as well..fingers crossed, i have her appointment for tomorrow to for bridal makeup booking.
what ques should i ask to MUA? i already asked following questions
ME. Do i need to get touchup coz i want to get done at 6 and party will last till 12.
MUA: No
ME. I laugh alot, i talk alot.. is there any chance of cracks?
MUA: NO - there was a valima bride too who got done her wedding as well, she said i had same concern but nothing happend all went well
ME: Should i buy matha patti for wedding
MUA: will decide it on run time
What i blv, MUA depends upto some extent but its all about Luck....so wishing bestest of luck to all up coming brides not only for makeup but for whole life:)
For valima - Saba Ansari is not available on my date so my MIL booked IRENE
FYI: Rukaiya is charging 18k for makeup 4.5 k for pre bridal services include full wax, Janssene facial and meni pedi.

for some reason I have always heard ppl say Siffat is a big no no ...don't know !
but so far Daffy and all the brides to be if Mariam Khawaja is way above your budget do consider:
- Mighty (Mytee)
- Ather Shehzad's Senior MUA
- Diva (I had my walima makeup from them...they did quite a good job with the base and eyes ...esp for the price of just 18k at that time) Am not sure about how well they do the makeup for the red brides.

i dislike madeehas. I have seen three to four brides by her, and its just a personal opinion, but i wont ever , ever go to her.
I dont know why people arent going to mariam khwaja, ive never seen a real life bride by her, but ive seen models by her on tv..their makeup looks good then then the other day i saw juggan kazim in pink by nikhaar salon (never heard of them), she looked really pretty.

So I had been hearing praises of Mighty’s salon. My in-laws had once mentioned they get makeup from there for bridals. My elder 2 jethanis and my elder nund also got ready from there. Anyway, i had been looking up their makeup pictures for a long time & even visited the salon but they didn’t have updated picture albums.
Yesterday, I came across my jithani’s valima video. OMG! Am I impressed. The makeup was flawless. The base was so natural & so well blended, the eyes looked digital. I am soooo relieved that the place does such good makeup. Both of the brides looked awesome & I am just super relaxed that my valima makeup will be fine.
As for bridal, that’s still a mess to decide!

well i booked Madeehas FINALLY!! had no other option actually! searched a lot of places but i dont have guts to try a totally new place for my BIG day so I thought its better to play safe……getting Madeehas signature makeup finger crossed

So I went to Newlook(m.m.alam) & to Sabs (lahore) as well.
Newlook (Arsh):
Arsh's eye makeup was good. Her lipsticks varied from good to okay in most pictures. She is the only place that uses an air brush technique for the base application. Anyway, with all that she offered a 50,000 package (including all pre bridal services like full body wax, full body polish, manicure, pedicure, facial, threading etc.). Since we were 2 brides, they brought it down to Rs. 45,000. So basically its makeup for Rs. 35000 & services for Rs. 10,000. The thing that confuses me still is whether the air brush technique gives the appropriate base look or not. Secondly, the pics were all from hi-fi cameras. I wanted to see a real bride which I didn't end up seeing. Anyway, she isnt an option I am going for .. again for the same reason that its over my limit & i am not too sure about the overall look either.
Sabs (lhr):
The place was being renovated. They haven't even launched yet & there are people asking them about it. The place looks good, anyway. So they told me that Saba herself travels and takes Rs.50,000 for the package. I've seen makeup by her in every other fashion show, drama, talk shows, brides etc. and the woman is damn good at what she does!!! But there was only a senior artist named Shafaq who was within my range but i didn't quite like her makeup.
So the thing boils down to ... Both were out of my range. If I had a budget above 30k, I would've probably gone for:
1- Mariam Khawaja
2- Saba from Sabz
3- Madeeha from Madeehas
But in the end, I don't know who I'll decide for who falls in my zone and does the makeup like I want. Samira Umer is ready to do it within my range but I haven't seen too many brides by her so I dont know. Siffat from madeehas is another option as well. She is good but then I was looking for a little different look.
So has anyone else booked a place?

Almost finalizing now, final 3:

1- **Mariam Khawaja: She is being considerate & accommodating some things which is very sweet of her; so if it suits me some how Ill undoubtedly go for her since her makeup gives me the satisfaction of the look i want.
2- Samira Umer: Got my nikkah makeup from her, she gave a very natural finish to the entire look. But I havent seen many of her barat day brides, so again not sure.
3- Siffat from Madeehas: A safe option but assembly line brides & a monotonous look to all is not what i am looking for.
Hopefully, by this month i would have finalized who to go for, IA. I hope its some one I can afford & I like as well.

Siffat is charging 25k Without services. Services separately are for 3500 & 5500 (two different combinations) covering:
Manicure/pedicure
Guinot Facial
Hair Treatment
Polisher
Threading etc

Finally, finally, finally ... the search for the MUA ended. I started off around October, I guess and couldn't finalize a place. I was sure about liking Mariam Khawaja's makeup but not the rate. So i started searching else where. I visited every possible salon but found one or the other flaw with the makeup done. I am talking about those that were within the budget.
Anyway, the satisfaction level I had with Mariam was always in my mind so I was inclined towards it.I had a lot of detailed discussion with her and she was very accommodating. She even suggested ideas for my dress & jewellery..and was also considerate about my budget constraints. Overall, I have booked her for the day. Yipeee!!!
I am happy because I am satisfied that she would make me look good and keep it natural the way i like it. Phew!!! It was a long run and i'm just glad alhamdullilah.
If any one else is interested, talk to her on her facebook page, she responds promptly or else she is on Gupshup as well, i am sure she will work something out for you.
