update on Iman

(the 13 year old palestinian girl)

from radio conversation played on israeli tv:

The soldier in the watchtower radioed his colleagues after he saw Iman: “It’s a little girl. She’s running defensively eastward.”

Operations room: “Are we talking about a girl under the age of 10?”

Watchtower: “A girl of about 10, she’s behind the embankment, scared to death.”

A few minutes later, Iman is shot in the leg from one of the army posts.

The watchtower: “I think that one of the positions took her out.”

The company commander then moves in as Iman lies wounded and helpless.

Captain R: “I and another soldier … are going in a little nearer, forward, to confirm the kill … Receive a situation report. We fired and killed her … I also confirmed the kill. Over.”

Witnesses described how the captain shot Iman twice in the head, walked away, turned back and fired a stream of bullets into her body. Doctors at Rafah’s hospital said she had been shot at least 17 times.

On the tape, the company commander then “clarifies” why he killed Iman: “This is commander. Anything that’s mobile, that moves in the zone, even if it’s a three-year-old, needs to be killed. Over.”

The army’s original account of the killing said that the soldiers only identified Iman as a child after she was first shot. But the tape shows that they were aware just how young the small, slight girl was before any shots were fired.

The case came to light after soldiers under the command of Captain R went to an Israeli newspaper to accuse the army of covering up the circumstances of the killing.

A subsequent investigation by the officer responsible for the Gaza strip, Major General Dan Harel, concluded that the captain had “not acted unethically”.

hes still under investigation for other charges though.. improper use of a weapon and conduct unbecoming an officer

i do think they'll nail him on improper use of a weapon. 10 bullets at close range on a 13 year old is such an overkill and frankly an unnnecessary burden on the (israeli/american) taxpayer.

This is just sick ... God is watching ... justice will prevail.

Had she been my sister, I'd never forgive the Israelis for this. I bet I won't just sit there and do nothing about this.

This is what America supports, this is what they refuse to condemn.

Disgusting. Disgusting. Disgusting.

they are kuffar

"I don't know something called International Principles. I vow that I'll burn every Palestinian child (that) will be born in this area. The Palestinian woman and child is more dangerous than the man, because the Palestinian child's existence infers that generations will go on, but the man causes limited danger. I vow that if I was just an Israeli civilian and I met a Palestinian I would burn him and I would make him suffer before killing him. With one hit I've killed 750 Palestinians (in Rafah in 1956). I encourage my soldiers to rape Arabic women and girls as the Palestinian women is a slave for Jews, and we do whatever we want to her and nobody tells us what we shall do but we tell others what they shall do." - Ariel Sharon, In an interview with General Ouze Merham, 1956

O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allah (jihad) you cling heavily to the earth? Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the hereafter? But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter” [TMQ At-Taubah: 38].

Suicide bombing will invite military in the midst of civilians. The result obviously is the death of innocents. So please quit preaching hate and suicide bombing in the name of Islam (means peace).

While we mourn the death of innocent Palestinians and Israelis, we should never forget the death and destruction of Pakistani-Shias, Pakistani-Ahmadis, and Pakistani-Christians.

Peace on Earth.

Thats just plain sick. He must be a psychopath. How much do you bet this isnt the only cover up done by the army?

antiobl, do you selectively decide on which innocent death you will mourn for? I dont believe thats very genuine and more a mockery.

liveshoaib,

More inflamatory internet propaganda? Please provide a link in these circumstances, so we can debunk the ignorant crap you spout.

FABRICATED

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon

I don’t know something called International Principles. I vow that I’ll burn every Palestinian child (that) will be born in this area. The Palestinian woman and child is more dangerous than the man, because the Palestinian child’s existence infers that generations will go on, but the man causes limited danger. I vow that if I was just an Israeli civilian and I met a Palestinian I would burn him and I would make him suffer before killing him. With one hit I’ve killed 750 Palestinians (in Rafah in1956). I wanted to encourage my soldiers by raping Arabic girls as the Palestinian woman is a slave for Jews, and we do whatever we want to her and nobody tells us what we shall do but we tell others what they shall do.

Source given: Ariel Sharon in an interview with General Ouze Merham in 1956

Investigation: This quote was found on hundreds of Arab Web sites, and indeed, seems to be a a staple of anti-Israel propaganda. It cannot be found, however, in any text book, news article, or published record, nor is there any mention or record of a General Ouze Merham anywhere else. (Another giveaway is that the term “Palestinian” was not in use in 1956. It only came into vogue in the 1960’s.)

Student columnist Mariam Sobh used the quote in her December 11, 2003 Daily Illinicolumn, but later had to apologize.

Summary: Fabricated quote, fabricated source.

^ So are you debunking propaganda with counter propaganda? That site is soo pro-Israel, its unblievable. Any neutral site would do.

^ Of course it is fabricated, just like the fact that under his control more than 800 innocent women and children were killed in Shabra and Chatilla in Beirut, or was that fabricated as well. Talk about being brainwashed.

^ So are you debunking propaganda with counter propaganda? That site is soo pro-Israel, its unblievable. Any neutral site would do.

What, do you expect Arab sources to deny this?

Hello,

The comment that you quoted is indeed an invention, and a rather lame one. To begin with, any public expression of such sentiments would be grounds for dismissing a soldier from the army. Hatred is considered to render the soldier incapable of clear judgement and unreliable in carrying out the will of the state. Indeed many young hotheads have been dismissed from active combat duty because of their expression of racist sentiments–sentiments that could have serious consequences in an army in which Jews serve alongside Druze and Bedouin Arab soldiers.

One clue to the fact that the comment is a pure fabrication is the use of the word “Palestinian.” In 1956, the term had still not taken hold in reference to Palestinian Arabs, but was at times used to refer to Jews born in Mandatory Palestine prior to the establishment of Israel. The Arabs in Palestine often referred to themselves as residents of “Greater Syria,” or of the new state of Jordan. Many were also eligible for citizenship in the new state of Iraq, by virtue of their parents having come from the region prior to the establishment of Iraq. However, a large number had been caught in the process of migrating to look for work at the very time when the modern states were being set up by the great powers, and thus found themselves stateless on arrival in Mandatory Palestine.

At any rate, the term “Palestinian Arab” was made popular only in the early 1960’s by what eventually became Yasser Arafat’s Fatah movement, the Palestine Liberation Movement, which was founded in 1964. It did not catch on right away, and certainly had not gained enough provenance to have been used by Ariel Sharon in 1956. There is simply no way that an Israeli–and certainly not one expressing the sentiments ascribed to Sharon in this comment–would at that time have used the term “Palestinian” to refer to the Arabs. Even when the term began to be used by the PLO in the 1960’s, it was scoffed at, on the grounds that there had never been any state in the region called Palestine (see Golda Meir’s comment, “There is no such thing as the ‘Palestinian people’,” referring to the PLO’s use of the term.).

I hope this will help to clarify things.

Sincerely,
Yael Shahar

Not one village, not one tribe should be left. - Joseph Weitz, the head of the Jewish Agencys Colonization Department, 1940 *

^ Because he feels sorry for only these 3 groups. Besides them everyone else is maatoo pito.

^ When Matoos and Pitoos will be blown up in pieces while praying, he will be worried about them too.

:jhanda:

^^ ok and who is doing the blowing up of mattoos and pitoos?

do u agree

Every Muslim should protect the blood, honour and wealth of the other Muslims and each Muslim is a brother to the other Muslims, he is fair to him and doesn’t give up on him. We remind you in this holy month of your religion and your Islam which forbade that a Muslims point a gun in the face of his other Muslim brother, the prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wassalam) said:
«áåÏã ÇáßÚÈÉ Ãåæä Úáì Çááå ãä ÓÝß Ïã ÃãÑíÁ ãÓáã»
“The destruction of the Ka’bah is easier on Allah than the killing of a Muslim to another Muslim.”

and they are. Shias are not the only one who are getting shot at in mosques.

OG: i said any neutral site would do. Yael shahar is an Israeli who believes iran is linked to al-qaida. Now excuse me, but that is too much. He/she may have some valid points, but my trust in the Israelis has diminished over the years, not least due to their constant lies and cover ups.

"Jewish Agencys Colonization Department, 1940"
"Chief of Staff of the IDF, New York Times, 14 April 1983"

So you rationalize your hate based on quotes from 1943, and 1983? God help us.

I have found these quotes in huge long lists. Why do these lists exist? To whip up the hate. Sure seems to have worked on your gullible little brain. I have a clue for you. In every mosque and tea house in the Palestinain territories there are quotes that are as bad or worse. A list of Palestinian Public figure quotes certainly exists. can't imagine how bad those are. That there is hate between Palestinians and Israelis is no big revelation.

The fact that you are mimicing these quotes tells you of the power of this propaganda. The authors of your quotes are certainly no longer in postitions of power, nor have their positions been adopted as official positions.

The internet is the WORST for propaganda. It is easy to find biased sources that fabricate, take out of context, or find scattered instances that defend a postion of hate. Stupid emotional web surfers swallow this crap hook line and sinker, and never think to verify or analyse the content.

The agents of hate have a field day on the internet.
