I've been seeing this girl a lot lately in magazines and photoshoots. Her name's Mariam and something tells me she's not tall enough to be a ramp model so she does photoshoots n editorials instead. Still, she's pretty.

is that guy in the first pic john abraham? This male model looks so much like him

I’ve posted two pictures to show what a difference makeup, hair, styling, etc. can make. I think Zara Sheikh is a pretty good looking girl, but without her model-face on, she is sooo average looking, and notice that her complexion is far from being fair.

Height is important in ramp modeling though. Models are there to sell clothes. The general perception is that clothes look better on tall and thin models. Even if a design cuts an average person’s height, it’ll look all right on a taller woman. She won’t look stubby. Shorter models do exist, but a lot of shorter models end up doing face work, hair shoots, still photos, not fashion shows.

oh my god!! how did they get her to look so white?? her real complexion is on the darker side…she looks like a completely different person…how many pounds of powder did they put on her?

The international minimum height is 5’8. I dont think Pakistan needs to set that limit cuz it’s not like there are that many girls in Pakistan that are 5’8^ AND have the right body AND are willing to model. Lets face it, modeling isn’t really a respected profession here and even on this forum a lot of people have said stuff like “i heard she’s a slut, all models are” or something along those lines so i dont really blame the girls.

I know a few girls who have the color of their faces much lighter than the rest of their body. Believe me these girls don’t wear make up yet, they are little kids.

well you were saying that if the color of the face matches the color of the arms or body then the girl isn’t wearing pounds of makeup on her face but i’ve seen examples where the girl’s face is much much lighter than her body color and it’s naturally like that. I think i was trying to respond to something somebody else said:smack: oh well:D

rachel is in the geo drama tere pehloo mai and she looks really bad most of the time-- she only looks good in light makeup otherwise she is very normal looking

I think theres a lot of potential in the Pak industry which can offer a unique touch to the world fashion industry. Rubya looks very promising as does that new girl.. I think her name is nadia malik.
There are fair amount of girls >5'8 in pakistan that are pretty, but until the industry get more acceptable and mainstream (not to mention economically feasible $$$$) only a trickle will continue entering it. But with Fashion Televion in Pakistan now, i think the pace will pick up
