The CEO of a large financial firm, summons one of his staff members.
“Bob! come in here. Bob, you have been with this firm for just over 4 months. You began your employment as a clerk in the mail department.
Two weeks later you were promoted to company secretary, a month later you were promoted to General Manager Finance. Three months later you took over as Senior Vice President of the firm.”
“Bob I have two weeks left to retirement. I want you to take over as the
new CEO of the company.”
Bob was silent.
“Well Bob don’t you have anything to say?” inquired the CEO.
“Errr… Thanks!” replied Bob.
“Surely you can do better than that!” coaxed the CEO.
“Duh… Duhhh.. Thanks Dad!”
