***.....A lot has happened during the last 5 days. I was in Saddar when news of Benazir's killing arrived. There was instant chaos. Amna and me were stuck in the mess for 5 hours. I was caught in a cross fire when I tried to take a left turn from Sharah-e-Faisal at Karsaz for Stadium Road and Civic Centre. My car was stoned from behind and a bullet smashed the headlight as I took a U-turn and sped back through some burning fires. There was no refuge anywhere. I tried cliffton and Defense and it was the same there. Burning vehicles and sounds of weapons. I reached home at around 11:30 PM finally after some really tense moments at golimar. Fahim Bhai had to abandon his car at Lasbella and reached home (J block) on foot. I was lucky to get home with my car.
There were even more tense moments next day as Sobia's baby was due any time. She started feeling bad at around 11 PM and it was impossible to give her any medical aid. We all spent a horrible night with sounds of firing outside and no hope of getting out of home, fortunately she held through the night and we rushed her to the hospital in the morning, taking long detours and avoiding mobs armed with weapons and sticks, Alhamdulillah we made it to the hospital safely and she delivered a healthy baby girl.......***

I hope Allah (swt) gives some hidayat to these crooks who play with people's lives so openly, I find it hard to admit that they are actually human beings just like us

Almost every family had such events on Dec 27! So sad.
