I did NOT say anything about the accuracy of the government figures. You on the other hand said:

If one knows nothing then one also doesnt know that the figures are definitely wrong and that the ground reality is infact 'much different'.

I believe that Pakistan could have eliminated these two bit thugs much sooner, and only let this fester because of geo-political gamesmanship/douchbaggery. I also believe that if these two bit thugs survive or find some other corner to hide amongst civilians and launch cowardly attacks on easy targets, it will only be because the state lets them for their own purposes. Not some ridiculous myth of indominatibility.

also just because I acknowledge MQM as a racist and terrorist organization doesn't mean I share any love for taliban, I'm very vocal about putting an end to taliban menace and saving Pakistan from them, but then again a racist person like yourself only sees hate for MQM as love for taliban. You may find Altaf's style of speaking amusing, but that doesn't make him a racist or evil person like all the mullahs and talibs in the country who's style of speaking you may prefer, yet they spew hatred like no one else can.

I would reply to you with an indepth answer, but the second part of your post made me think about all the time I'd be wasting trying to answer you. So I will instead post a shorter answer, and perhaps run into you here and there and we'll have our lil chit chats. But I assure you I am not even going to bother trying to educate you on anything.

I support ideologies which do not oppress other people, which do not infringe on the rights of others. Ideologies that have goals and are honourable. I don't support people who make movements out of fear, or greed. Movements to please other people.

Taliban was a students movement out of Afghanistan. Bajour does not contain a majority of Taliban. What the Pak Army is doing there, will not effect, or destroy the movement known as Taliban. Pakistan recognized the Taliban as a legitimate government. The west did not.

After 911, WMDs were supposedly being developed in Iraq, and Taliban were hiding Osama bin Laden.

Where are the WMDs and Bin Laden? What happened to that focus?

The reason I bring these two points up, is because people tend to forget. No one has the answer thus far.

Anyways, the new focus is this "taliban" threat to Pakistan. As if Pakistani Army picks potatoes in a field and cant' do much about it.

Let me tell you something. Chitral was cleaned out by the Pakistani Army, and US bases were removed. I commend the army for that. They had no business being there.

As for this front against the "taliban threat" in the north, trust me, I Pak Army if wanted can remove Taliban from that area, however they cannot eliminate the Taliban.

This is all on a premise that Taliban actually ARE a threat to Pakistan's sovereignty.

Pakistan is currently losing its strength as a military might in the region, by going to war with itself.

The problem is how people on this forum are cheering that on.

Nobody is cheering deaths of civilians, only cheering at news of 'militants' getting killed. If you have actual numbers from FRONTLINE to counter these news you are welcome to share.

I am just afraid they are killing women children and just about everyone that comes their way....who knows. Its beyond a failure when a state's military is killing its own people. Last time Pakistani military had to turn on its on people the a new country was crated I wonder what will happen this time! Even if they are killing Talibs its nothing to be happy about, the army of Islam so to speak killing Muslims! Its tragic.

What happens when innocents are bombed? Putting aside drone attacks, and other shelled areas, what will those innocent people do?

They'll take their own revenge, by suicide bombings, ambushes, and planned attacks.

Thats the real threat.

Thats what Pakistan should try to stop. By bombing a phantom threat, and trying to fill up a number sheet to please the American government ( who do not hold Pakistan as an ally in reality ) the Pak army is just heading towards a disastrous path.
