General should just have walked away and ignored any question he didnt feel like answering. The reporter should also learn etiquettes of reporting. If a man says he wont answer a question, you dont keep parroting it, it looks sub-par.

The question was legit, but he received the response when General said Wait and see what Supreme court decides. Sure, General reacted in an immature manner, but reporter lacked professionalism too. "Patience young grasshopper"

It is too much professionalism and lack of tough questioning when warranted that is the Press' main shortcoming. The Press needs to do its job, at times vigorously.

This is unfortunate history of Pakistan. These retarded idiots are above any accountability and any justice system in Pakistan. Had Quaid-e-Azam seen/visualize this scenario perhaps he would have thought 1000 times before founding a new country.

No he is not. It is incompetency of this retired retarded general who behaved an idiot. He should have simply walked away and not answering this question as it showed him dishonest general, clearly indulging in Pakistani politics while holding the highest post in army. He returned and tried to snatch the mike from the journalist like illterate badmaash on the street.

However arrogant Generals are in Pakistan, I think on this occasion journalist was at fault. General Aslam Beg told him that the issue is in court and he would not like to say anything about it, then journalist should have left him alone, instead of pestering him. Actually, even if Aslam Beg has said that he does not want to talk about something than also journalist should have left him alone. Leaving him alone not because he was ex-chief of army, but because a person (even prostitute) has right to say something about a matter to media or keep quite. Even courts cannot force a person to make statements. Anyhow, since courts can judge a person on available circumstances, evidences, and statements of others, sometime giving statements with own story might help the person case.
I think journalist was lucky if he got away unharmed, else if anyone would have started pestering me, I would have called him in my sitting room, closed the door, and then would have started pestering him too.

If it was Nawaz or Zardari in place of Aslam Beg, their answers would have been:

Zardari: In ilzamo ka jawab Jamhuriyat hay. May 12 saal jail may raha hoon. BB kee ruh her raat meray paas atti hay aur Jamhuriyat sikhatie hay. BB zindah hay. Jamhuriyat hamara inteqam hay.
