First of i am really sorry if theres already a thread about this .. I just couldnt find an answer to my question so i thought to place it in this section ..
Actually my Sis is going to Pakistan (Lahore) in November and i need her to get me some classy and not so common and nice unstitched georgette or chiffon printed suits.
As far as i know she will be shopping in Oreega ( hope its writen correctly) or Liberty Market. NO Anarkali ..
I want her to check out some other nice shops which maybe aint in those local bazaars and who have like unique stuff which isnt availabe in like every shop u go to …
Thats why my question can u ladies from lahore plz recommend some good and reasonable priced shops in lahore where to get really nice unstitched printed chiffon and georgette suits from ??
whats ur price range if u like i will show u some differnt suits three piece .....mail me at [EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected] or
pm me..and on the safe side she is shopping at right place and she will find good pieces over there too.
regards
these are some sample basically i buy them is diffenent way like make combination od chiffon and georgets with differnt duppta and shalwars as u in second pic the cheeta print is shalwar and dotted is duppta kameez in third first is duppta second is shirt and third is shalwar mean diffent combination by my own way to make them unique pieces.
stuff is french chiffon, georgets, shamose silk shalwars some time some grips ones …etc
Orega has "New City Towers" which is basically is a small mall with lots kapray shops/stalls. It has some excellent jamawar and banarsi stuff... not everyday wear like I guess you want but I didn't see similar stuff in the Cavalry Ground shops which are well known for their banarsi's etc.
Mentioning Cavalry Ground, there is a shop under the flyover that does printed linen's (cotton viscose), this stuff can be worn in the winter and summer (unless it's really hot). I much prefer it to chiffon's and gorgettes as it's a lot more comfortable to wear.
I'm sure there are lots of shops in Liberty. If she's short on time just go to Saleem Fabrics. Generally pricier as there is no bargaining but they have all kids of materials all year around (obviously, when one type is out of season, there is less choice but nonetheless).
its just that i dont her to shop for me in orega or liberty .. it just feels to me what u geetin there, everybody wear hat and i am not comfortable with that , for me it really has to be something "not available everywhere" i hope u understand what i mean ...
i was thinking of shops which may not be in those bazaars
but the problem is always where to get them all stitched from then .. and besides i dun want to pay 20 Pounds for getting one suit stitched where i could get maybe 4 stitched in that price from pakistan ... and i also feel that the tailors there are a bit more into matching things like button, laces or whateva ...
but which shops u talkin abt ?? ... maybe i have a look there and just hand over the fabric to my sis to get it stitched from pak ..
we have lots of english fabric shops here and markets where they have fabric stalls. i live in london so there are loads of places. we don't buy chiffons anymore anyway.
we send them to pak to have stitched too.
anyways, to be honest i don't get the 'unique' thing, it's not like everyone here will have the same stuff coz how many people get to shop in pakistan?
also, if you want pure materials such as a cotton, there is a shop where they do a limited number of designs. then there are places like threads&motifs which do the same for heavily machine embroidered stuff.
i could be wrong but printed chiffon doesn't seem that big.
