unprepared !

So i get a random call from a recruiting company and they have a grt opportunity ready for me , with the same exp needed that i have etc etc..

i look at my portfolio.. never been updated since i started working at my present position..my resume has no indication of this job.. ahem.. i m very unprepared and while this is a much better opportunity.. i m still not motiivated to move my arse and get these imp changes done// i feel, at my present position, as i have broken in to the comfortable seat so well.. the things can be done with eyes closed no perishani no headache..

and while i check my email dertay dertay k us ki email aai hogi regarding that position,.. i dont see her email and feel all relaxed that maybe they forgot abt me.. so kind of the complete opposite of ambitious.. what is this behaviour called.. and am i normal..

Re: unprepared !

Go check it out Hin. It maybe something worthwhile. Allah ka naam lay kay check karo.

Re: unprepared !

Afraid of change (new workplace, new people etc)!

Re: unprepared !

as Niksik said .. it might be something worthwhile

and at the end .. you can always say no ...

you can also get the offer and use that to negotiate your salary at your current job

Re: unprepared !

Hin, sometimes comfort is a killer. It stops you from taking advantage of better opportunities out there.

Re: unprepared !

And even greater is the fear of losing one's niche.. I like the phrase "having done everything with eyes closed." Sounds so much easy, appealing and comforting. Its heavenly to work in comfy.. the blessing i must say.. So from the POV of a person as sluggish and incompetative as me, this feeling of yours is quite natural. going for the opportunity is good, anyway, if you really have that verve of ambition in you. Go ahead. All the best :)
