Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

1) The average growth rate in the country for last four years has been less the 2.5%..
2) Inflation has been in double digits during this tenure..
3) The perception of corruption is at the highest level.
4) PIA has lost more than 100 billion rupees this year. Railway has lost more than 25 billion, power sector has a deficit of more than 400 billion. It seems there is no governance-managemnt in the sectors controlled by Federal government.
5) Power crisis is unprecedented in the country.
6) Industrialization-investment is at the lowest level in the history of the country.

All this is happening when the whole region with similar economies is booming with growth rates between 5-10% during the same period.

PTI has given short term as well as longterm strategies to overcome power crisis in particular and economy in general. The short term strategy in power sector is the right prioritization of resources, better management in distribution-generation. The long term strategy includes finding the right mix of energy instead of coming up with genius ideas like rental power plants. The main strategy to fix the economy is to curb the corruption and induct better qualified people to manage the state institutions instead of uneducated corrupt people who were given the most sensitive posts in the institutions during the present regime.

PTI has qualified honest people like Asad Umar, Jhangir Tareen and many others in their team. They have the credibility among the investor community of being clean-qualified people who will work for the betterment of economy. If only PTI led government changes the perception of our county.. it will make a huge difference to overturn the troubled economy.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

and when IK has learnt this lesson, why complain?

Again, amazing that when Zardari takes in Mush's brothers, he's shrewd. When IK does so, he is puppet of establishment.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

If saying things about Army/ISI is the criteria, you should be supporting PML(N) instead of PPP and I'll consider your argument somewhat valid.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

Good luck. If PTI can do better job in managing the economy all the power to them.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

You know PNLN has lot in common with Taliban & PTI. In fact Shareefs are beardless Taliban & PMLN, MQM & Taliban are all Zia's creations.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

MQM = Zia's creation.
PML(Q) = Mush's creation.

and you want me to believe that PPP is anti-establishment? sorry.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

Thats what i keep hearing from supporters of N&PPP.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

My biggest problem with IK is that he is pro-terrorists/Taliban. In fact there is no diff between PTI/JI, IMO.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

Yes, that is a valid concern.

You were earlier talking about him supporting and supported by pro-establishment politicians and I was responding to that.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

^I dont think its much of a concern, reason being that the democratic governments are much more practical and aware of international politics than military ones. Example being Mursi, who closed the Palestinian tunnels which even Mubarak didn't do.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

Mursi was left with no choice. Palestinian groups had killed Egyptian forces. It is difficult to imagine any government wouldn't do it, democratic or not.

Extremists are really good at making enemies of friends.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — Shamraz Khan

There is always a choice. Taliban and AQ have attacked and killed many Pakistani soldiers in cold blood. Just yesterday an ambush in Orakzai killed a number of soldiers. Many Pakistanis continue to defend and support these "defenders of Islam and Sharia". You find many supporters even on gupshup. Pakistani military continues to not take decisive action and even judiciary seem supportive of them.
