Unplugged With EyEsOnSkY

** 1: What is your name? **
EyEsOnSkY

** 2: Where do you hail from and where do you reside? Do you have dual nationality? **
Actually from Faislabad and I born in Lahore, we moved to Karachi when I was 5 y/o a good years of my life I spend in karachi then my family moved to Japan and from Japan to Australia only me decided to stay in Japan coz of my education ( I am still in Japan and my family living in Sydney) well, thinking to join them next year. I didnt change my nationality yet let see what it could be in future.

** 3: What is your educational and professional background?**
Graduate from university in Economics and having my small business now related with exporting used japanese cars and small fishing boats.

**4: What is your political orientation?
**I am inspired by Jinnah the great Qaid and whould like to support any party which polticialy close to Jinnah sahib visions and work. And currently I am much inspired by MQM.

**5: Have you ever read complete manifesto of your party? Does it matter to you at all?
**Yes I read and its sound great.

** 6: Has your party ever been in power in the Centre or in provinces? If yes, how did it perform?
**Its little complicated to answer coz its only once in Mushraff era that MQM was tottaly in power in Karachi ( or in Sindh?) and I am inspired of their work they did it in somehow short period great performance by over all party workers specially Mustafa Kamal.

** 7: In your opinion, what are the top-most plus and top-most minus points of your party?**
Well, the starting years of MQM when party was not organized much and the riots on that period and the name Mohajir Qumi movment was the real and still have bad negative immages, letter they change into Mohtehida but it was little late and damage was done. And for more good results is better AH transfer the power to other leader. The good and postive things are party adminstration system I dont think so any other party have such thing. Anyone could reach to top or low leaders for suggestions or complaints.

** 8: Major achievement and major failure of the present government? **
Hhmm Current Govt.almost failed in every field and may be they keep busy to safe their govt.all the, time the one thing that is their stand against militants with Pak Army is kinda impressive.

**9: Economically, politically and democratically speaking, do you think that Pakistan is heading in the right direction? **
Politicaly and Demorcatically YES. We need to stay with this politial process lets peoples dicede whatever they deserve. No and thanks to the army to stay away from states adminstrative work. The things are changing around now compare with little old time and the open media bring out the every little scandle and peoples getting more mature to select something. I think the same process of changing govts democratically lead us faster to a better economy.

** 10: How different the upcoming general elections could be from the 2008 general elections? **
I think it should be more fair and as I told above Media is open now and its hard to do some bad things openly.

** 11: What do you think of the presidential form of government?**
If you mean Govt.adminstrative structure. I think Senate is a white elephent. not need it.

** 12: Your take on judicial activism?**
A little disapointed by SC as they took strong actions against PPP they should be take actions on anyone without fear.

** 13: Do you think Army is still active in politics as we speak?**
YES

** 14: What could be the best way to tackle the Taliban? **
Taliban is not a name its not a group its a Think perhapes and peoples which are inspired by this think is collectively called Taliban, I think everyone know what is that THINK so I dont want to go in this detail, in short this think is have own agenda and way of life which is tottaly collapsing with majority of sate. So now how we could tackle with this think is we need to finish the rutes of it. army/political/relgious parties must stop to protect them more at any reason.Cut off all kind of connections with Jehadis groups. Need to be have a tough eyes on islamic madrasas. There are good madrasas too but in general the students studying there get impressed easily whatever they teach them, and for this we need a very very cheap and strong education system. Stop the funding of doubtfull parties/madrassas by SA or other gulf countries the amount less spent on postive and much spent on negative things.

** 15: How should the state of Pakistan act on drone attacks? **
Drones have some bad and some postive impacts. If our army want to pin point the targets in this way they must do it by themselfs not with help of foreign forces.

** 16: How should Pakistan react to the American demands on North Waziristan operation and Haqqanis? **
Both sides are playing double game with each others. its complicated to answer on it.

** 17: Do you think that some key ministries should be managed only by technocrats?
** Skip

** 18: To govern a vast country of over 180 million, the bigger the cabinet, the better? **
No. the current Pakistani cabinet is a joke and burdon in our shaky economy. Japan population is 130 millions and its have only 19 minsters including PM.

**19: Who is your favourite politician outside your favourite political party?
**Eitezaz Hassan.

**20: If you are allowed to make three decisions as the head of the country which will be irreversible, what would you like to do?
**Free Education. Free Medical and impose Strict heavy taxes.

END

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

Being the largest political party of Karachi and in power for almost a decade, how will you describe MQM's role when we talk about law and order situation in the city?

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

Amal ji, the peacefull Karachi is not only for whole pakistan and karachiet but also very important and needy for MQM, they have strong bank vote almost in the city and they dont wana lose it coz of continually not stop violance and wrost lawnesness and its bad for MQM reputation in general. What I feel that the law inoforcement agengies including police rangers are not under mqm authorities which is make difficulities to take any quick and prompt action. under the current circumstances no strong voice about the situation from party and silence is kinda strange for me too. Lahore and Karachi are big metropolis and its better both cities govern by its own adminstration not under whole province. What I think give all kind authorties direct to MQM to run Karachi we will see big change.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

This is really baffling for me. MQM is the 4th largest party in the National Assembly and second largest party in the Sindh Assembly. But if we talk about Karachi alone, MQM emerges as the single largest party. Don't you think that MQM focusing more on its coalition with the PPP and less on the ground realities in the city?

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

Don't you think that the image of mqm is not so good in the rest of the country? What can they do to improve their image?

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

Since you have been staying in Japan for some time now, tell us what a government of Pakistan can learn from a government of Japan in terms of governance?

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

What my guess are that MQM focusing on long term basis, they might be more uneasy than others with current situation as I mentioned above a peacefull karachi is most positive for MQM than others. Not quitting the alliance is what seems to me there sucessfull negotiations with PPP about New Loal Govt.System and after several rounds of make-or-break negotiations between PPP and MQM over the local government system in Sindh, representatives of the parties have finally agreed on an amended version of the Sindh Local Bodies Ordinance of 2001This is what I think a great approach towards more bright future of Karachi.
Sitting in opposition is more minus for MQM and karachi.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

Yes you are right, I think they have a great concern about it and recently they send a delegate to all over pakistan to meet with other poltical party leaders. And I think its only MQM who called for rount table conference with all poltical parties to discuss the major issues which thretening the country including energy crises. Dr.Qadeer and other different leaders visit to 90 indicating that MQM are making efforts to become as more national party, they have sucessfull results in northern area Gilgit and Kashmir, its a slow process and its take a long time tho whenever they try to make such efforts the negative propaganda get high on peak against MQM.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

If we have only few sincer polticians in Pakistan who really cared for a good Pakistan there is a lot of stuff to learn from stable economic nations. I am not going to any single detail how to govern a country well coz its gonna be long. atleast first we can learn how to divide the country in adminstrative level. Here we have unique system of divisions. Japan have 47 prefecures(Provinces) with popluation of 127.80 millions and each prefecture have its own indepedent admistrative body under the central cabinet. Tokyo and Osaka are the largest metropolis cities which have there own adminstrative body not under the prefectrure but central govt. This system they adopt a long ago in Meji period. Each prefrecture have cities towns and districts. There must be a popluation of 20thousands to announce or decalre a city. Each city have there own mayors to run the city. In short for a good goverance we need a proper divison system according to the popluation.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

^ Small administrative units are indeed easy to manage.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

Would MQM ever come out of practice of enforcing them self by killing.

What is your view of altaf ?

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

What are your views on Japanese women? ;)

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

As my point of view he should go now and what rest of majority thinking I don't know.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

In general they are cool. Shy,kind, well mannered, educated, hard workers
and very reserved.

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

You must be doing thriving business exporting cars to Pakistan these days. ;)
Is this true that most imported cars in Pakistan are those damaged from that last tsunami in Asia? (I am talking about the REAL tsunami).

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

So you finally gave up? :cb:

Re: Unplugged With Guppies — EyEsOnSkY

Khoji I'm not doing with Pakistan (^_^) kinda complicated and risky. I heard few stories some guys did and finished with heavy loss, a lot of pakistanies doing it but they know how to DEAL with hamwatns and procedure but for me better to avoid. Oh yeah that TSUNAMI is not we face yet here and after that Real tsunami a lot of vehicles exported on scrape basis that area was out of my range by both economically and distance. It was in thousands pieces.
