I am not sure whether you’ve carried it out before on gupshup, but none of my friends have any interest in Politics, and I have no idea what most people have decided for the upcoming elections. If a poll was carried out here, please give me a link and ignore this post.
So: Who’s your choice for Pak’s Upcoming elections? Cast your vote.
Any sincere guy, who's sincere with the country. Not that, Makhdoom Amin Faheem, after winning the election, brings Benazir again, to plunder the country.
From the present lot, Imran Khan is definately better. Not sure how he will perform in the elections though.
Since my vote would be from NA-38 Rawalpindi, its a hard choice... If people's party nominates Agha Riazul Islam to contest against Shiekh Rashid, then my vote would go for the PPP. If they decide to give the ticket to Naheed Khan like last year, I would have to rethink, as she is our nieghbour, and Shiekh sahib is also expecting our vote. As for the provincial Assembly vote, that would goto Dr. Afzal Aizaz from the Jamaat-e-Islami.
National Assembly -> PPP
Provincial Assembly -> Jamaat
Guys you need to register to be able to change anything in Pakistan…not many people get elected on hopes.

PTI seeks ‘cricket bat’ as its election symbol
Islamabad (August 12, 2002)
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf filed papers for the election symbol on Monday. A PTI delegation led by Akbar S, Babar Central Information Secretary, Sardar Azhar Tariq Khan member CEC, and Col. (R) Yunus Ali Raza President PTI Islamabad handed over the papers to the Secretary Election Commission Hasan Mohammad yesterday afternoon.
After filing the papers the PTI Central Information Secretary Akbar S. Babar while talking to reporters present on the occasion stated that the PTI’s first preference for its election symbol is the ‘cricket bat’ followed by ‘tiger’ and ‘horse.’
The PTI leader said that it is the responsibility of the EC to ensure free and fair elections. People are ready for change the question is whether they would be allowed the opportunity to choose honest and credible representatives without any interference and intimidation. So far the EC has passed directions such as the banning of bulk transfers of civil servants, however, it appears that the provincial governments are reluctant to implement the orders of EC, which is a matter of serious concern.
In response to a question regarding the selection of a cricket bat, Babar said that the symbol comes naturally to PTI as the party’s Chairman brought laurels and victories to the nation in the field of cricket. He said the country is desperately in need of a break from the past and the cricket bat symbolizes the passion of the youth who would play a decisive role in defeating the forces of status quo.
Since this new forum is supposed to have some polls feature, I request the mods to use this feature to carry out the unofficial elections, and lets see which party wins...
Dont forget this guy too, in these elections…as Musharraf may want him to come in seat, in order to save him from the problems he is facing in the war against terror…
