anyone know how to unlock this baseband for the iphone 4? i’ve been stuck on it forever

Nope can't do it. There is no unlock available for iph4 yet. Im saying this cuz I have cell phone stores.

okay don't shoot me if I'm wrong here but there's some recent chatter on the interwebs re sam key unlocking (sim unlock)? apparently it works as long as your iphone is below 5.1.x?
I can't confirm any of this since I don't have an iPhone but perhaps someone who does can research and attempt to unlock theirs.

seriously Si4e, thats good news :) i know recently there was an unlock using SAM but it worked only for a bit and i missed the chance. it sucks using an iphone like a ipod :(

I think at&T allows its phones to be used on other networks, which is t-mobile basically that is the national rival of att.
Now, if you are talking about verizon or sprint, they aren't on GSM but the CDMA network. Other countries have CDMA sim cards as well, but for wisdom best known to themselves, the iPhone for these carriers has an ESM number and is incompatible with the GSM network.
