^^ iOS 5.0.1 is jail broken, the only thing left are the A5 devices which actually have also been jail broken but the public release is pending. Hopefully in a few days we’ll have that as well. For A4 devices running iOS 5.0.1 the jail break has been released.

I really want this to happen this week. I need to sell my iPad2 and one of the buyers wants me to upgrade it to 5.0.1. I don’t wanna give it to him locked.

Same here, I have an Iphone 4S sitting, just waiting for this release for the A5 devices. I am currently using Iphone 4, iOS 5.0.1 thats Jail broken and I’ve been fine with it but now that I have the 4S I want to start using that.
The best thing I like in the jail broken devices is their ability to teether. I am not too much into downloading apps for free via Installous as I do believe that if someone worked gard on a particular app they deserve to be paid but at the same time if my cell phone carrier would give me “Unlimited Data” then they should also provide me with a way to teether so I can use that unlimited data when I really need it. Jail broken phones can use PdaNet for free for that and it’s really nice and convenient to have a feature like this.

Hot on heels, just right now @P0sixninja has just updated his blog saying that Greenpois0n Absinthe V0.1.2.1 jailbreak has just released to jailbreak both iPhone 4S (running iOS 5.0 or either 4S version of 5.0.1**) and/or your iPad 2 (all Wi-Fi only, GSM & CDMA devices supported; must be running iOS 5.0.1**) Right now Greenpois0n is just available for Mac users and soon download links will be available for Windows and Linux users.

Totally agree. But I noticed that Installous only offeres previous versions of any app. Those versions are not supported by the developers and not available on App store anymore. Does that make it more ‘ethical’ in anyways, I dont know. I am just saying.
