Each time i plug in my camera, it says unknown device and that the device has malfunctioned:( how can i fix it? Please help

what camera you are talking about here? a webcam or a digital camera?
anyway, you may need to install the drivers came with the camera for your operating system. What operating system you are using?

Install the correct devide drivers for the webcam. those should be on a CD which came with the webcam.

if it still doesn't register, try plugging it into a different port
