University Selection

What criteria did you use to select your university?

Re: University Selection

Majboori and stupidity. I didn't get the grades for my first choice university in UK because I slacked off in A-levels and had to fall back on my insurance choice. Locally I got into LUMS but I chose to go with my second choice uni in the UK mainly due to the foreign university experience and that most of my friends were going there too.

If I get the chance I'll try to go for a top ranked university for MBA. Right now I have more pressing concerns like my career :p

Re: University Selection

that it was a bit ways from home. I wanted some freedom :)

Re: University Selection

:k:

it was the same for me and also the fact that it was a well rated university and had the program that i needed

Re: University Selection

The distance: It is not far from home

And the variety of students i.e. multicultural

Further the universities here are all well rated, so aisa koi masla nahiN tha.

Re: University Selection

Re: University Selection

Re: University Selection

Re: University Selection

University :zobo:

I was almost booted out of Metric… I am just a pretend Academic folks. No University in thier right mind would let me loose on Campus… though I have worked with some Universities, attended a few Semmesters here and there and even had the pleasure of giving a few lectures… I am not really the Uni sort.

If you ask me… these days Education is becoming a joke… I value experience and skill over pure braineeyaks anyday.

Re: University Selection

It had the course of my choice (which had a good rep with the employers) at an affordable price and it was close to home.

Re: University Selection

I disagree, with no university education you would find it hard to get even the most basic, entry level professional job. No job = no experience = no skill.

Re: University Selection

none.it was the only option i had

Re: University Selection

Best of the Best, either you'll sink or swim.

Re: University Selection

For graduation it was majboori. I didn't have great grades to fit in at a brilliant university and I had to enroll in an okay university!
For masters, it was different.. i had the grades and i applied to one of the best universities for my program and I got selected.

Re: University Selection

Course reputation.
Distance - not too far from home.
Ethnically diverse.
