Hi, im doing a degree in Sociology at the moment and am interested in completing a Phd and lecturing as a career.
What is the potential for jobs in Pakistan as i understand employment is not easy to come by and as a general perspectivive how much are lecturers likely to earn?..and are there opportunities for consultancy work?

as a lecturer u can earn if u r in a good reputed uni , but i think lectures dont get respect as much as they needd to...as for consultancy it has its scope

Hi unknown. I don`t know about your current location. The etaching is expanding very rapidly in private sector in Pakistan and the jobs are only available in private sector. the e arning a s i know about three years ago, it is almost 250-300 dollars per month. yes if u can plan your own teaching business then u can earn even more than an american teacher.

Well i think better if u try middle e ast if u need money and if u need paki culture and roots then u have to sacrifice money
