From what we know, universe is flat. Rest is your personal liking and disliking or assumptions.
a closed manifold is a type of topological space, namely a compact manifold without boundary. In earlier post you said beyond the boundary is cosmic background. you are considering abstract objects as concrete objects.
Well i know you will lose you temper instead of clarifying these things.
dude i dont know what you are talking about to be honest. but the world being round wasnt some new concept revealed in the quran, if thats what you are saying. nor is drawing a circle such a novel idea.
maybe..
Plus it shows mathematics is our need to understand things after all.
plus. face is on the rooti, now you are explaining how it might have gotten there. :D
I don't know if its finite or infinite but it's is still expanding. All the stars and galaxies are moving away from each other farther and farther - nothing is finite though - we just don't know when it will end

Perhaps I should have rephrased that. The boundary isn't really a boundary when it comes to Torus universe. I should have said something like it must be that the CMR seems like the boundary but it is not really a boundary. I am trying to answer your questions but I don't know what in the world you are trying to do. Again, local universe being flat doesn't have much to do with its shape. It's flat as far as we know, we have theories about the unobservable universe. Since CMR seems evenly distributed, it's likely that the rest of it is also flat but you can't say if it's finite or infinite.
^see the links I posted. I am not arguing in favor of any theory. I am just intrigued by all of them. Certain conditions make some shapes possible while others impossible.
I'd say finite because apparently its still expanding and if its constantly getting bigger than what it was then its clearly finite (i.e. "it could be bigger" can be said, and then it expands again and becomes bigger).
But technically... its infinite. Take two points, 1 and 2. How many decimals can you put in between 1 and 2? The answer is infinite. For example, there is
1.1
1.11
1.111
1.1111
1.11111
..you get the picture. Its infinite.
Interesting replies :) *Two possibilities exist: either the Universe is finite and has a size, or it’s infinite and goes on forever.. But i think *The universe is infinite :)
It very much clear that every religion says its followers that universe is finite and everything has to be finished so the Earth has also its lifespan as after that Earth has to be finished and after that everyone believes in the day of judgment.
