What does it mean when you say a person has a universal appeal?

Is it only in looks, or can it be your personality as well…?

Is it attractive to have a universal appeal?

and sometimes we say he/ she has a very universal appeal to them

Probably means aspects of looks/personality that sit well with everyone. Normally a person who's charming or good looking for one may be unattractive to another, but some lucky people like Katrina Kaif have universal appeal, no matter who you are you still think she's smoking hot.

Oh acha that one..... actrors and stuff are usually 'appealing' due to their looks/talent......not necessarily their personalities......

Princess Diana in my opinion was the last famous person for having the indisputable 'universial appeal', she would go some random isolated part of the world where the locals won't any idea who she really is yet they would fall in love with her the moment they would come to contact with her iconic gaze and warm smile.
