I guess my point is not only about developing the least developed provinces, but also about keeping your promises. Otherwise, how are you different from what iskandar mirza, bhutto, ayub, 90s musical chairs were doing for the baloch? You won’t really make a dent in the insurgency for the future.

From what I have always heard and read, CPEC was and is supposed to be game changer for balochistan (and KP / GB as they are on the way) which is why Gwadar was made as well. Karachi is being bypassed and I really am not angry about that in the route, but why is it going through Lahore? Lahore is not even a financial, industrial megacenter or a port that can lend a hand to gwadar. There is only a finite amount of industries that you can set up if CPEC is more than oil / gas pipelines, so what would be left if everything is made in Punjab?

Forget the “traitorous” balochis and sindhs, why wasn’t POF branches made in KP? Are Pathans traitors as well that can’t manufacture anything for the Pakistani armed forces? Look at the US and how the manufacturing is set up in rural states; there is the cheaper aspect of it but I think that it is also done to show that the country hasn’t forgotten about you. There are militias, in fact one doing bhangra in Oregon right now, but they don’t get mass support in the US because the country is connected and everyone has a well-being in America’s success.

I dont think transport will be forced to go through lahore if eastern rout is being followed. M2 and M3 can be used to bypass lahore for traffic coming from Islamabad. Also the textile industries of faisalabd are dispersed across the lahore faisalabd highway. The nearest textiles mill to lahore from faisalabd textile group is around 40 km from lahore on lahore - faisalabad highway. Alot of textile mills have administrative units in lahore as well.
Nestlé, millat tractors, atlas honda and different steel mills are around 25 km from lahore on faisalabad road.
