unisex pakistani/islamic names...

Names that I am aware of…

Naseem

Mobeen

Talha

Mumtaz

are there more, just curious…would you name your child with a unisex name?

Re: unisex pakistani/islamic names...

Off the top of my head...Misbah and Aymen are the more common unisex names. And never heard of a lady called Talha lol, that is definitely not unisex. And Mubeen too, must be some weird parents who'd name their daughter that.

Re: unisex pakistani/islamic names...

I find it weird that a guy can be names MUMTAZ!!!!!

**TalHa and Mobeen are boy's names. the rest are indeed unisex names but i fail to understand why parents name their children Naseem and shameem and like names when their feminine versions are available like Naseema, Shamima.

btw, it's Mobeena for girl's and NOT Mobeen :)**

Re: unisex pakistani/islamic names...

I have a friend, his name is Misbah. My wife asked me when he called if it was a woman I was talking to. I don't know why people had such d'ckheads to invent unisex names. To get people in trouble? I mean is not quite embarrasing? People who give unisex names to their children are definitely crackheads...they are not better than those who invented them.

I have nothing to hide, but this Bullsh't makes life more complicated as it is. Andrea is another western name which is also unisex...why? I don't know...Something went terribly wrong. If this falls under the category islamic names as well, I will invent my own deen. Period!

Re: unisex pakistani/islamic names...

What is the point of a unisex name any way?

these ladies are bazurak now...I think in pakistan they do it in the hope that the next child will be a boy,or sometimes their elders decide the name of first born regardless of wether its a girl or boy....
I hope this is not happening in todays society
