Unique centerpieces for Mehndi

Flowers and floating candles are more appropriate for a big, elegant event like shaadi or valima. For something fun, joyous and vibrant like Mehndi/Sangeet, what kind of centerpieces would you choose?

I was thinking of using the mehndi plates as centerpeices...

ive seen these little pots used and they are set in a way that makes them look like they are tilted or slightly leaning one way....then have marigold strands coming out of them so that it looks like you're 'pouring' marigolds from the little traditional clay pots. I hope this makes sense

Do you have any Indian stores, which sell items for puja, wedding, household items etc? You will be able to find some from there. If not then most probably online.

how about small lanterns? surprisingly, they dont run too expensive either.

pareezay i love choorian, so i was thinkin to create a center piece with them....and my fave flower being the gerbera daisy......wen i ustilise the idea ill post it on GS ;) haha....

Im using moroccan lamps with rose petals around it - as that is our theme for the mehndi.

yes, i was goign to suggest Moroccan lamps..great idea!

or have tambourines and/or small dhols.

or have cupcakes (with ur colour scheme) on each table on those cute cupcake stands. - that could be included in the dessert.

wow these are really nice...I do agree that big centerpieces and floating candles work better for reception

or have large candles with mehndi designs on them (done with mehndi)

I would love to do that! It would even look nice with small tea light candles around it.
