Ungrateful !

haha well said the GS DIL/ MIL meet :p

how true. Janay walay to chalay gaye now we should get worried about ourselves at the very first place.

Re: Ungrateful !

exactly! stop the yearning for worldly stuff all the time and Allah would reward you here and hereafter too :)

Re: Ungrateful !

first thread with no haters ... way to go enigmatic

Re: Ungrateful !

lol thanks :D

i guess Life1 really needed some optimisim..no?? :p

i have had enough of the despondency around me ..look at the world around..so many ppl lost their homes/shelters in the northern areas during the flash floods :(

may Allah protect all of us and our families !

reminds of the saying....

"I complained because I had no shoes.... then I met a man who had no feet...."

lets all be thankful for what we have..if not...whatever we do have...will be taken away.

Re: Ungrateful !

I started this thread about a year ago. I think after seeing so many ‘let’s bash each other’s opinion’ threads and so many threads on really trivial issues (such as the newspaper one in my recent memory ;)) ..it’s time to revive it! :halo:

How long would we keep being ungrateful for all we do have and yet keep waiting for God to be eternally kind on us

Re: Ungrateful !

That’s such a nice topic Enigmatic :k:.

Just few days ago i was watching Tv and this very knowledgable man Bilal Qutub was on it and he was sharing
teachings of Quran. He said “Nashukri” is perhaps the most disliked thing by Allah and that Allah wants us to be hopeful at all times. It just made me think so much about it that how we take it very casually and almost every day we have one thing or the other to complain about and to be thankless about but do we realise how much we are disobeying Allah by doing that :(?!. I think having being happy with what you have, no matter how little or how ever much you have it, and making the most out of it is the best quality a person can have. And it only benefits ourselves as we stay away from tensions, anxiety and depression which are actually worse than most of the other highly rated diseases.

If we think about it, every individual has so much to be thankful about. But somehow we human beings measure how much we need to be thankful by the materialistic things we are given by Allah. We don’t realise that our being able to walk, see, breath, stand, speak and to just be able to live is perhaps the best gift of life. What good can a rich man make of the money if he can’t see or walk? Health is what we all should pray to Allah for and we just can’t thank him enough for it.

Re: Ungrateful !

Agree, so many people look at what they don’t have, not what they do have, and are impatient as a result.

Pet hate of mine are picky eaters, who moan about food, if it’s there and it’s halal, just shut up and eat it, otherwise go outside and I’m sure there are millions upon millions of people that will work for hours to eat what you are refusing to eat!

Re: Ungrateful !

Now the situation in Karachi is making me feel horrible. And here I am whining about how I miss my friends, my family back home and I am stuck here all alone (random stuff like that)

Shouldn't I be happy that all my loved ones are safe, living happily - so what if far away! May Allah keep everyone in Karachi and everywhere in the world where the situation is bad in his 'hifz o amaan' :)
