Is USA leaking its satellite information regarding key military locations in Lebanon to Israel? If that is the case, wouldn’t this be a truely unfair war. And, USA would not only be responsible for destruction of Afhganistan and Iraq, but also Lebanon and Palestine.
Re: Unfair War?
And with the world in such state, who can blame Iran for trying to build nuclear weapons. They have a right for self-protection; unless USA wants a world-wide empire.

Same thing happen in 1967.during Arab/Israil war.
American jamm the egyption radar system, and israil destroyed the most air power and air defence system of egypt.
Re: Unfair War?
thats what happens when you buy a system from someone and indulge in fight with his ally, no? Build your own defense system people!
Re: Unfair War?
I want to tell you that during 1967 war, Egypt was a Russian ally and was possessing Russian arms and not the American arms. As long as Nasser ruled Egypt, Russian and Egypt were strong allies. After 1973 Israel-Arab war which was a success for Egypt since it snatched back some of the captured land, a fall out occured between Egyptians and Russians and Russians refused to supply spares to Egyptian army. This eventually led Egyptians to ally with U.S. and sign a peace treaty with Israel to get back the captured land (Sinai) from Israel.
Re: Unfair War?
The Israelis have excellent satellite systems of their own. And, no one ever said war is fair. War is inherently unfair.
Re: Unfair War?
Thank you for correcting me. Now, can we not produce defense system which could be jammed? :halo:
Re: Unfair War?
I agree, as they say "everything is fair in love and war".... though there are some restrictions on conducting war nowadays (post UN?).
Re: Unfair War?
Capt'n
The "Laws of War" are a large body of documents which include the Geneva Conventions. All of the Laws accept the premise that wars will be fought. The laws principally exist to protect non-combatants. This includes medical personnel, refugees, local non-combatants, as well as prisoners. The laws are not there to level the playing field, they are there to attempt to protect those who do not fight. The laws freely acknowledge that innocents will die, but they attempt to limit practices which intentionally kill innocents for no valid military purpose, or kill innocents in such outrageous numbers that the deaths of civilians grossly outweighs the military value.
Re: Unfair War?
Yup remember that next time you are crying crocodile tears when a suicide bomber attacks Israel. At least they don't kill 37 disabled children in one go.
Re: Unfair War?
hahah “unfair”???
seriously.. would u try to get back at the bullies in school on ‘technicalities’??
they only speak one language.. their own.. and the Arab world doesn’t speak that.
Re: Unfair War?
No, obviously you need a further lesson in the laws of war.
The Laws of War give great weight to the concept of "INTENT". For example if a Kaytusha Rocket is aimed at an Israeli military post, but goes astray and hits a populated area by mistake, then no law has been violated, as the explosion in a civlian area was simply part of the fog of war. The Laws of War however demand that those firing the Kaytusha evaluate the likelyhood of hitting a civilian versus the likelyhood of hitting a valid military target. If the likelyhood of hitting a civilian population is far more likely than hitting a valid military target, then fire should be held. If there is a substantial chance of hitting a valid military target, but the missle goes into a school, then no Law of War has been broken. Intentionally targeting civilian populations where there are no valid military targets is always a Crime of War. Get it?
A suicide bomber walks into a Pizza Parlor, or a Restaurant on a Religious Holiday filled with old people or civilians, and blows himself up, and that is a crime in every document document which deals with the laws of war. The Laws of War are very specific in defining valid military targets. Soldiers, Leadership, Industry, Supply Lines, Communication Lines are all valid targets. Other than those categories, people who do not carry weapons are considered non-combattants, and are protected under the laws of war. Only those who abide by the laws of war are also protected under the Geneva Conventions if they should become captured. Mercenaries are never protected under the Geneva Conventions.
These may be attempts to civilize warfare that escape you, or you do not choose to accept. But the protections of the Geneva Conventions are only valid for those who follow the Laws of War. That is the trade-off.
Re: Unfair War?
Now many countries like India, Pakistan, North Korea and Iran are to a great extent producing most of their arms indegineously. Iran is the only country in the middle east which is indegineously producing its own weapons. This was not the case during 60s and 70s.
As far as Arab countries are concerned they are still dependent on either American or Russian supplies. Arabs are technologically backward. Saudi Arabia has just one university. Most of saudis go to U.S. for higher education.
Iran on the other hand, has invested a lot on education. Today the brightest scientific mind on the planet is an Iranian. Unfortunately he cannot enter U.S. and do his research/education because of strained U.S./Iran relationships and that’s why he is now pursuing his research in Italy.
High quality scientific education is the key to independent self defence. Tiny Israel contributes greatly to sceintific advancement and its military success is the direct result of high quality scientific education.
Re: Unfair War?
Let me give you a lesson in war. Indiscriminate bombing, deliberate killing of civilians breaking all the civilised codes and yes bombing innocent **are crimes and those carrying them out are criminals and terrorists. **This is not the first time Qana has been delibrately targetted and despite your protestation that it was a mistake, it was murder plain and simple. As you sow so shall your reap. If Israel can commit murders of innocent civilians so can they.
Re: Unfair War?
We are either buying a technology and printing "Made in Pakistan/India" or we have sorta defense system but is it really capable of detecting all sorts of missiles? Can we "un-jam" the jammed signals? No.
I agree with your rest of post that we are probably going in some direction to achieve that, but we are very far from it (yet).
Re: Unfair War?
The U.S has in the past helped Israel and is still helping Israel via. armaments, intelligence and diplomacy. So long as the Zionists control U.S do not differentiate between Israel and the U.S.
