RAWALPINDI – In a tragic turn of events, an engineer who graduated from National University of Sciences and Technology took his own life after not being able to find a job despite a year’s struggle.
[HR][/HR]Article continues after the advertisement[HR][/HR]Aizaz Ali, 24, who graduated from NUST as a mechanical engineer last year and in a pursuit to kickstart his professional career, started job hunting.
The dead body of Aizaz, a resident of Railway Housing Scheme no.7, Rawalpindi was found by his sister, who works at Benazir Bhutto Hospital.
Sub Inspector Wali Mohammad, who is leading the investigation into the case, quoted the victim’s father confirming that Ali had been distressed because of unemployment. SI Mohammad said the victim was receiving treatment for depression.
A friend of Aizaz disclosed that the mother of NUST graduate serves as the principle of APS Westridge Rawalpindi whereas his brother Muaz was the head of a department related to photography at the HITEC University Taxila.
The suicide is a harbinger of the fact that the employment opportunities in the country are becoming scarce with each passing day, a comprehensive policy for which is needed to stave off any such incidents in future.

RIP, sad all around ! Young life lost to depression and unemployment while jahil people are getting jobs without any education just on the basis of nepotism ! I have been severely depressed few times but thank god came out of it!

thanks to corruption of these ******* politicians/judiciary/military the youth have no hope in pakistan, despite having education.
It’s a sad situation that we have jahil people in power and educated people struggling to find employment.

Robin Williams stuns me!!! as much i know ( very little i bet) he committed it because he suddenly looses interest in life.. after all that success the emptyness inside took control over him…
but this guy was young, energetic, suppose to be full of life!!! i would blame our news channels who sells nothing but negativity and dissapointment!!!
i know personally a electircal engineer from UET, he upon not getting good response on job calls, he went to.his village which is actual remote area of Pakistan bordering Kashmir and did something with cow-dung he calls bio-mass and sells really cheap electricity to villagers.. a great success i would say…
This guy i dont know, may be not getting job in Nuclear Department ( lots of pindi boys look towards it and if some one dont get it, he is considered looser)

One of My class-fellows yesterday committed suicide because he couldn’t land a job (news-story in the Comment). Irony is He graduated from the Highest Merit department(Mechanical Engineering) of the Top Pakistani University NUST. The cream of Pakistan.People of His Academic Caliber get rich in almost 100% of the cases by This time after graduation.Whats Happening here in this Country.I know what,s happening.And the Result is This Country cant even feed the top 50 of its Brightest minds.The second Ironic fact is that What Job he wanted Manufacturing.Industrial Revolution??? The most jobs as of this moment in the Country are of Mechanical Engineers The reason Merit is highest.And the Jobs for Manufacturing technically cant die But This Country Or rather a Swamp.Rules of economics don’t apply here.

An engineer is also a human being. He seemed to be very sensitive. It takes hell of physical and mental efforts to become a Mechanical Engineer. Why was he not given employment in tons of industries in Pakistan is a shame for rulers. I hope government will compensate his parents for this very sad death of their highly skilled educated son.

Mechanical Engineers like any others goes through hell and they have to prove their worth before anyone let them touch their machines!!!
The guy seems to have problem!!! A girl problem or drugs!!!
anyway, death is tragic!!! he should have stood their…suicide is not the answer not at this tender age!

Abhi haal hi mai eik IIT graduate ne suicide kiya, wo MBA ki entrance exam qualify ni kr paya. IIT graduate acha kama lete hn lekin fir bhi usne sucide kiya. Sabki apni duniya hoti hai, sapne hote hn ambitions hote hn jo poore ni hon toh banda dipression me ja sakta hai. Kuchh kah nahi sakte kon kis baat se dipression me chala jaye..ache khase ameer log bhi dipression me chale jate hn. Aur samajhdar mane jane wale log bhi..kuchh mahine pahle Bihar ke eik collector ne biwi aur maa ke jhagde se tang aakar suicide kar liya tha..uske paas toh naam paisa power sabkuchh tha..suicide se pahle usne video banaya k wo introvert type ka banda hai r wo pareshan ho gaya roj-roj ki chik-chik se. Haal hi mai world suicide prevention day nikla hai..us din akhbar me parha k purush mahilao ke muqable jyada suicide karte hain. Shayad unpe jyda jimmedari rahti hai ya mahilayein dipression, stress se nipatne me jyada saksham hoti hn. Jo bhi ho agar koi dipression me dikhe toh lightly ni lena chahiye uska ilaaj karwana chahiye aur support karna chahiye.

We cannot, as humans and as muslims, sit here and speculate about what led him to take his own life. Let’s pray for his, and our, maghfirah and may Allah grant his family peace. They are the ones that will be suffering currently.
It is a sad state though, that talented and educated youth cannot achieve their worth in our country. What’s worse, though, is that we place SO much importance and pressure on our youngsters to achieve these worldly achievements in this one area (academia and jobs) that these stories are so common. Life is more than just a typical doctor/engineer career.

I don’t understand the issue of “government did not give him a job”, why is government supposed to provide employment to every single graduate? There are tons of private industries in the country, go find one there. If not, start some business, why do we have to blame everything on government? Government did not ask him to get admission in Mechanical engineer and promised a job, did it? Its most likely case of medical/mental issue (depression) in the person who committed suicide, may Allah swt make it easy for the people he left behind.

Mental illnesses and depression are on the rise worldwide, even in developed countries the rate is very high.
Add to that being far away or not following religion can make things even worse.
Namaz, Ibadaat, Quran, Tasbeeh etc are helpful in keeping these things like depression away. Lekin aajkal loagon ne deen ko bhi chor diya hai.
People just go thru the motions/routine etc which makes it all useless.
Allah rehem keray sab pe aur corrupt loagon ko tabah keray
