Islamabad yar, The thread is about Understanding Mullahs. Why are you discussing Ahmadis? They can be a lot of things but not the Mullahs, I can asure you!
Please carry on discussing Ahmadiyya in the 4-5 other threads that are lurking around.
Very well said, Islamabad. I think the community that has this bad image of Moulvi-sahab should engage with their Imams, communicate with them. That would help both Imams and the people to learn something from each other. Some Mullahs are good, some are not that good… Mullahs/Imams need to be very well educated and properly trained to gain their lost respect in the society.
Since the last few years, they are trying to build a better relationship here between imams and the young generation. One of the major problems here (and I guess inother European countries too?) is that imams are not born here, they come later and often don't know the culture here and there is of course the generation gap. So they don't understand the youngsters and the youngsters don't understand them. Now they are trying to open up more schools and universaties here to educate more future imams here instead of bringing them from Paksitan or Turkey or whatever other home country of the visitors of the mosque involved.
